I did back to back comparison between Enduro Super Soft and Downhill Super Soft Kryptotal Fr and I agree. The Enduro casing is more compliant and less harsh in front. Now that we have the lighter casing super soft option, it makes sense to run it in the front. As for weights you can see what I measured below and...

Based on where that 2mm bolt sits, it looks like they've reworked the SwingLink (26 in first diagram) to be more like the Pushrod (18 in second diagram) in the Base lever. Appears that it's adjustable as well. More/less leverage is my guess. Ultimate / Bronze Base

Hey y'all something going on in these Maven levers in the pits at La Thuille. Heard from Alan Muldoon at MBR that the Canyon DH team had these same gold cams in their Mavens at Leogang. Any theories? More leverage? Less leverage? More ramp? Less ramp?

36lbs for a medium alloy frame with a coil shock, heavy hubs, and DH tires is actually really good.

I put this in my longer post a few months ago but Saints are good brakes, but what is really mind blowing about them is how good they are for being unchanged the past, what, 10 years? longer? I do agree they aren't as powerful as newer, modern options, though. I think the past few years has had some really good options that push brakes into a more powerful, less force required category: Intend, Radic, Hope, Maven, Maxima, and Hope being the main examples I found. The Saints, while usable, just didn't have the power of these options and required...

I just got the Maven Base to test for Vital, but nothing to report yet.

Low hydraulic leverage combined with short levers = lower power. Attached is a chart that I put together calculating hydraulic leverage based on MC piston and caliper piston diameters. There are some obvious components missing from this, notably mechanical leverage that is a result of the cam geometry and lever length. But it overall follows what I have felt with the brakes that I have tried. Personally, its been a long time since I've felt that Saints were top in the class, with the issues of Shimano's needing lever bleeds pretty regularly and the weird feel of the servo wave...

Yeah and she won last year on a trek, sooo maybe it’s more that she rips on a bike?

She has also won XC races and cyclocross races in the past. I too think she's a ripper on a bike. I could probably give her my 120mm trail bike set up as it is for me right now and she'd podium an EDR. Just reinforcing what you're saying: She rips regardless of her stem or chainstay length.

Rulesman Hambini Diaz [I’ve redacted my comment about Dale Stone because I’ve seen two of his videos and that’s not enough to draw an informed conclusion] These are all content creators who seemingly never have anything nice to say about the big companies. According to them, everything’s terrible all the time and they’re the only ones calling it out, the voice crying out in the wilderness. I agree that the big companies do things that suck and that drive me crazy, but if you can’t ever say anything nice about the bigs, even when they notch a win? I have...

I'm no expert, but I don't think kids will learn much on a full sus ebike... I've gotten a Trick 24 for my kid and that is an awesome bit of kit already. Also, I'll carry the ebike shame and let the boys grow on pure, cheap(ish), accoustic bikes

Jeff Kendall Weed has a great series of slow mo shots in his Podium video with side by side comparisons of front tire skids with the 36SL, 38, and Podium, and it's pretty wild how much fore/aft flex he gets out of the two RSU forks compared to the Podium. Doesn't look like much in the still, but it's a lot of motion back and forth in the vid. Also I just now noticed he's wearing loafers for the shot, which is the most JKW thing you'll see all week. I think it makes an interesting watch for anyone, but...

Okay big conspiracy time. The podium fork has been made for a long time. Fox was waiting for the traditional design of their forks to plateau in innovation and sales before “being the first”. It weighs so much on purpose because their next gen of the fork (which is already made and designed) will be bigger news than the second coming of Jesus. Then after that it will be even bigger with slight updates to the damper that work for USD forks even better, and EVEN LESS WEIGHT. But if they released the fork as perfect on day 1, what...
