I’m not sure they heal faster, I think it’s more that they’re willing to take strong painkillers and risk re-injury or more long term side effects/pain compared to “us common folk”. The painkiller use in professional sports seems to be getting talked about more though, so hopefully that changes in the future.

What's the point of that? We're not after a caliper test, the pads and rotors that come with it is much relevant as most people buy brakes as a system first. I do think a rotor test with 1-2 calipers would be good. And potentially a pad test. But they were doing a brake test, we buy brakes as a system

Running Intends too, love them so much that I have them on both bikes now. Ran Hayes before the Intends, never had any issues with those either, until my wife demanded I hand over mine so she doesn't need to run the Codes anymore. Would like to add if something is easier to do, then it's probably also easier to do right - in this case bleeding the Intends was probably the easiest bleed I have EVER done. No massaging, no nonsense, just push the damn fluid in through the calipers and that's it. Hayes are pretty good in that...

I ran these before moving to Intends. I've also tried a bunch of other brakes. Most of the mtbr discussion is people dogpiling SRAM due to that youtube review by Dale Stone. I tried to offer some useful commentary there but eventually got tired of arguing with people who would never try them and just wanted to shit on SRAM (which I can relate to given my CS experiences with them). I'm not really sure where Enduro MTB got the power numbers from, I can say in terms of feel at least, the Mavens seem to have more power earlier...

Neko lives 20 minutes from Fox east coast service center so there really is no need to have tons of adjustment when you can drop in and get custom tunes from the pros whenever you want.

Reply from Neko to Cam. The DHX has a larger shaft size so can effect ride feel. Frameworks most is most likely on a custom tune, so the limited HSC/HSR adjusters probably aren’t a big deal.

The 2.5" DHR2 has been around the race pits for years as a pro-only tire, so it's exciting to see it finally released to mere mortals like us. The 2.4 DHR is a noticeably smaller casing than any of Maxxis 2.5 tires, which makes it kind of a weird match when you're running one of each. I'm running a 2.5 Assegai up front and a 2.4" DHR2 in the back, so I'd totally buy a 2.5" DHR2 when mine wears out. Of course it doesn't matter much, it's 0.1", but I'm a fanboy and I'd rather have the bigger volume...

MaxxGrip Dissector as a rear tire is going to last for 5 days at best in Whistler. I ran one last year- a few days of trail riding, 3 days of lift riding and it was pretty much cooked. I'd keep running the MaxTerra DHRII rears. OR I had very good luck with a Specialized T9 Butcher Grid Gravity as a rear tire. Seems to be in-between MaxxTerra and MaxxGrip in terms of compound and more durable than either.

It's collectively known that ESO wants to cut down the number of riders so they can have a TV/stream package that's more appealing. Fewer riders in the final so they can show all of them and shorter tracks so they can have cameras on the whole course. Semifinals are a way to sugarcoat this. The blatant unfair treatment towards privateers and smaller teams appear to be just cheap tactics to drive them out.

Beat me to it. Cami is a Fox athlete, strange she doesn’t recognize it. Also, the reservoir looks a bit longer than the usual, no?

It looks just like a DHX. He might be trying different tunes for Fox. Or might be trying something custom (Avalanche or the likes).

He responded and said it's a dhx. He got asked why not a dhx 2 and Neko said he liked the numbers they were getting with the dhx tuned for the bike. All that makes sense to me, if the shock is tuned for the rider/ bike combo there is less need for the extra adjustment of the x2.
