4/14/2024 9:00am It's collectively known that ESO wants to cut down the number of riders so they can have a TV/stream package that's more appealing. Fewer riders in the final so they can show all of them and shorter tracks so they can have cameras on the whole course. Semifinals are a way to sugarcoat this. The blatant unfair treatment towards privateers and smaller teams appear to be just cheap tactics to drive them out.

4/14/2024 9:00am Beat me to it. Cami is a Fox athlete, strange she doesn’t recognize it. Also, the reservoir looks a bit longer than the usual, no?

4/14/2024 9:00am It looks just like a DHX. He might be trying different tunes for Fox. Or might be trying something custom (Avalanche or the likes).

4/14/2024 8:59am He responded and said it's a dhx. He got asked why not a dhx 2 and Neko said he liked the numbers they were getting with the dhx tuned for the bike. All that makes sense to me, if the shock is tuned for the rider/ bike combo there is less need for the extra adjustment of the x2.

4/14/2024 8:55am We are a weird bunch hey, Innovation/tech is a good thing! Up until its something "you" dont "need", then its something "you" think has gone too far....(Im not throwing shade directly at you @ethanrevitch, just using "you" as a general term Counterpoint, why be bothered by it, let these companies innovate and build whatever they heck they want. The market will decide if its a "good" idea or not. I'm not to fussed with electronic shifting of suspension, but I see how it could be amazing. What I would like to see is a dropper that drops automatically, so I...

4/13/2024 8:54am Agree but REALLY want them to release the Trail casing in Soft. Apparently the SKUs have existed for months but there's no product... The Enduro casings are really good but heavy for most trail duty (at least the kind I do).

4/12/2024 12:12pm In the latest MUTN Jack said that ESO told him that for '24 there is no way for privateers/non-UCI teams to book pit space at any of the races: starts at 30:30 here: https://pod.co/making-up-the-numbers/jess-blewitt

4/11/2024 5:29pm Well... Tuesdays are usually the most efficient day to launch a product, most emails are opened/read on that day. Mondays are busy days @work and emailboxes are full of crap you'd get through the weekend, so usually the boxes are cleared on tuesdays mornings or so. And launching this kind of product on any other day might be too deep in the week: doing it on tuesday means you let 4 full days for the product to ke aknowledged by your community, just before the weekend where they would talk about the new shit on social rides. (OR this is...

4/10/2024 6:16pm Insightful interview... Interesting to see Fox lean into improved damping control vs. air spring improvements. Seems like they're taking a page from EXT/Ohlins in managing suspension control through proper damping. Was thinking about swapping my Fox 36 for a RXF 36, but I may just try giving the new damper a try first.

4/10/2024 6:15pm I'd compare difficulty of installing fork bushings to that of machining and building an engine block. Sure the local dealer says they can do it. But I would only trust the factory that does it day in day out. It takes LOTS of special tools and gauges to do it right. Get the damper, service the fork. Don't worry about bushings.

4/10/2024 6:13pm We recorded some chats with FOX engineers while we were at FOX. There is some overview of the Grip line, along with a deeper dive into X2. But the best part is a 30-minute chat with Sergio Avanto (Manager of Product Performance), talking about his long career working in Supercross. https://www.vitalmtb.com/features/vital-podcast-grip-damper-breakdown-f…

4/10/2024 7:08am The grip x2 damper looks like it should be much easier to tune, so that is a big step forward by itself. Making some wild guesses from last year's Dialed shows when pros were talking about "the new damper" it sounds like the grip x2 can make more damping force without getting harsh like the Grip2 did.

4/10/2024 6:27am That is a seriously good looking bike. It's like if. SCOR, spec enduro and Santa Cruz had a baby together. Can someone slap a Grip X2 on a dyno asap so we can see how much damping it has relative to others? Fox's press release don't tell you anything that actually matters

4/9/2024 12:25pm Seems like it's less expensive to buy a fork that's currently on sale and a grip x2 damper than it is to buy a 2025 fork that is basically the same.

4/9/2024 12:24pm Backwards compatible damper, just slide it into an existing 38, which can be bought new for very reasonable

4/3/2024 4:15am Same. I am very happy with my Hugene but I have had 2 issues with it in just under 2 years. 1st was the headset which was clearly a defect since it died early on. The second was I broke the lower pivot bolt that is right behind the chainring. Customer service has been mixed. With the headset Propain sent...
