Just circling back. Reread Graves' post on Pinkbike (in the comments). He 100% takes responsibility for taking a banned substance, though he does so under the veil of "I didn't know". I believe what he's saying, not sure it makes it right, but I believe him. I posted above that Graves is circumstantially admitting its his water bottle. He's saying "I used these substances", Richie and Graves are buddies, etc etc. What are the odds someone else was using the same esoteric substance and handed a bottle to Richie? (if you believe the whole bottle thing) End of the day...

That was one of the most exciting WCDH races I've watched in a long while. Gwin's wipeout was wild. Run after very exciting run and Peirron's run was NUTS. You could tell he was really on the hairy edge, full mach chicken, and then almost looses it right across the finish line!?! That was awesome. Rob Warner was in good form on the mic today too, keeping the excitement up.

In terms of Redbull TV, I have heard that this part of serious media play and long-term strategy decision. Whether we like it or not, every company with disposable cash is getting into the media business. The ease of distribution has enabled everyone to get in the game where, previously, it was an enormous burden. There will be consolidation again...

Given that there are points on the line for Qualis I think there would be decent viewership here and worth an extra fee. I do wonder about logistics though. What is the gap between riders at qualis? I believe its pretty tight which would make filming hard. For all the bitching, I don't think people appreciate that. Red Bull has...

thanks for chiming in, aaron. it's crazy this whole ordeal turned into such chaos and wasted time. i woke up this morning to a billion texts and emails about all the drama. when the vid was posted yesterday, i didn't know it was a "leaked" video. i also chalked it up to "world cup riders are gnarly. they do gnarly things. they break stuff," and figured that the rest of the mtb community had the same reasonable way of thinking. i knew some people may comment on the crank break, but the newsworthiness of the video was that you hurt...

I shoulda been more descriptive and explained things better in that initial comment so that I'm not having to go back and clarify now. I answered a lot of these same accusations in the other responses I made on that same Instagram post but I'll give ya guys the goods too. I was just frustrated honestly. I had just got a message from the guys at Mountain creek who took the video respectfully telling me that they weren't going to send the video around, which was kind of them. One of the guys had sent it to someone else and...

Thought it was interesting he came down to "internet peasant land" (that's what I call it) to defend the product and ask Vital to pull the post. Part of me understands this. Part of me goes "cmon dude, that is overstepping a line you don't have control over". I understand he wants to be a good business partner for his sponsors. I understand he wants to put his best foot forward. But I'm not so sure I like him trying to pull strings to keep things hidden that really aren't that big of a deal. Reminds me of how he...

Honestly that is a really solid lineup of tracks. Leogang is OK when mixed amongst the others.

For all the talk about Ft. William being too easy or too fast, 99% of those saying so would have their hands fall off after two laps. Def classic.

I also think the lighter frame and, potentially wheels, allow them to have heavier parts in other areas and stay at a weight they want. Who knows, they may also be fucking with us.

MPH24 Added a comment about feature The State of U.S. Downhill Racing According to Neko Mulally

I like Neko's thinking. Given the riders at Windrock, I wonder if there is a real opportunity for the Southern States to put together a spring series that can be a good tune-up for WC riders (simply, a lot closer from a travel perspective for Euro based teams).
