Looks Solid. Having ridden the V1 Spur for the last few years, I'm not crazy about flex stays. Since Evil isn't releasing a short travel bike this year, the Reya just moved to the top of my list for a new frame.

Love the numbers on the Reya. Going to have to put my Epic 8 Evo up for sale I think!

Oh man oh man I want to see the weight on that reya. 450mm CS on a truly light bike would be insanely advantageous for tech climbing and huge backcountry missions. That said, quite bummed they chose to make the BB so low. Really should not be a thing on a bike in this class meant to shine on climbs. Gonna be offsetting some of the benefit of the long chain stays on tech climbs. Sad.

It is refreshing to see a short travel bike without flex stays. This would be top of my list of I was looking for a full suspension down country bike.

Agreed with the first part but what's the beef with Transition?

Thank god. I was shopping for bars and stems but just didn’t feel like there were enough options. This might just be the perfect one.

Just saw those on a Madison (UK distributor). They look sick. Finally someone is building a DJ wheelset that isn’t DMR 😚

I WORK for DT Swiss so this is a shameless plug. No astroturfing here... We launched new dirt jump wheels today. First time we have used brass nipples in a system wheel. We are also offering the hubs separately. D 1900 CLASSIC - Dirt Jump wheels | DT Swiss

got an email about this kickstarter for an in-tire pressure gauge that connects to a garmin device called Outrider. looks interesting. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/outride/outrider-a-tire-pressure-s… "A low-cost, real-time tire pressure sensor made to improve the safety and performance of your bike's only two contacts with the ground. It fits securely inside of your tubeless tires and gives real-time pressure readings and alerts to your Garmin device via wireless transmissions."

The "ass saver" style one puts the battery right in the water spray. What could go wrong? Might as well just hard wire the derailleur in to some solar cells, by which time you might as well just connect the shifter with a cable, which can work in the dark and doesn't need ridiculous charging gimmicks

I don’t know, a Slash+ is like 46lb. For me personally, the self shuttle aspect of ebikes is completely ruined by the fact that they all seem to descend like crap because they’re so heavy. Good luck unweighting the bike to change lines. I always feel kinda forced to just smash through whatever is in front of me with no finesse.

Unless you're riding Whistler BP level single blacks, something like the new Top Fuel with soft Nobby Nics or Forekasters will thrash the average 32lb trail bike IMO.

Druid V2 Ultimate/X0 is 31.9lbs in S2 size. Dreadnought V2 Ultimate/X0 is 34.6lbs in size S2. It's basically just tires and fork/shock that account for the difference.

The main problem is that e-bikes just aren't a great product yet. . The controllers and displays are meh. The motors are noisy and are expensive to service and water ingress is a huge problem. Warranties are very high on e-bikes components. Servicing the rest of the bike is often a nightmare because of the cable routing with the battery motor combo. You pay $8k for a product that is OK at best, and potentially shite and needs a warranty or major service fee in it's first year. They're just not a mature product yet IMO.
