There is a little car for sale in the UK called a Caterham. It's design is essentially the same as when it was conceived in the 1950's. The models with the high output engines will put seconds into any modern supercar around a track. The point is, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Bikes are all about geometry and suspension (mainly shock rate). Seeing as though these things can be built up very light I see no reason why it isn't at least as good as anything else on the market.

Years on predictable, simple, single pivots and hardly a crash and now he's on that thing where your mass is hanging off the swingarm (god knows how much unsprung mass and rotational friction that ads) and he's nearly died three times. Watch some vids of his recent runs in comparison to other riders like Hill and Gwinn and you can see him getting pitched forward when he hits square edge and ruts fast.

Who the hell are the Giant R&D guys? They're so out of touch with what customers actually want it's a joke. Dated geometry, regressive suspension on DH bikes, no ISCG on 6" bikes... And then they come out with total crap like this. How is this going to increase the stiffness on my 1 1/8" steerer tubed DH fork? I hope to hell the Specialized/Trek R&D guys don't adopt it and it dies. scriz, the 2011 Demo has lips on the dropout for easy wheel changes (150mm axle) and they didn't need to invent a new standard. Just a bit...

Just happy pills in general Come on Specialized are just a company like any other. Sure they're a bit of a marketing machine but the R&D guys are a great bunch. Yeah nobody is going to do 50ft hucks on their Enduro (is anyone but Brendan ) but people aren't going to do 15ft drops to flat on a Mongoose in Spain either! I think the Enduro is one of the best 6x6 bikes on the market but I didn't watch that vid thinking 'what a great bike', but I was thinking Brendan is ridiculous
