Oh my god, this is just perfect. Natural trails, gnar (rocks and roots) and the ability to ride XC helmets!

The whole reason the freecaster commentary was so awesome was because he was excited and screaming about people and a sport he knows really well in a field he's passionate about. It ruled because it WASN'T trained subdued crap. That already exists everywhere and what warner brought was way more real. See recent rampage commentary if you really think redbull knows what they're doing here. Red Bull likes to pride themselves on unique, one of a kind events, why don't they want a unique, one of a kind commentator any more? Oh well.....

That old commentary was like watching the race with the buds after a great ride. It had flavor! And it was authentic and genuine. You could feel the tension, and connect with it. The racers are racing on the edge of disaster, and the screaming and yelling payed homage to those risks. I've never been a fan of a commentator before. P

The rear centre is still too short. Especially on large+ sizes. It was even worse on the old bike with the 420mm rear centre. That's why these guys couldn't find a spring rate balance. You either have to have the bike over sprung so it doesn't work on steep tech to be stable on jumps or live with it choppering out up jump faces (which is pure sketch) and flat turns. Specialized needs to screw the short rear centre marketing BS and just give the bike proper weight distribution. They have 120mm bikes with 20mm longer rear centres....

10/11/2014 11:06am I was really impressed with the (aesthetics) of the KTM trail bikes at Interbike. I wonder who manufactures them? Regarding the racers I think it would be a real shame if Troy left Specialized. The bike seems to work perfect for him and he's the top dog in that team now. He's only going to get quicker too. I'm baffled...

For sure you can expect a little more carnage and raggedness at worlds, today it just bit a few more than usual out of the contenders. I was right there with you hoping Neko would hold on to it. Personally I think the #1 plate means a lot more than the rainbow jersey. Champions should be crowned based on a series, not one roll of the dice.
