time for armchair quarterbacking on the first World Cup of the season! who's gonna take it? you've seen the track preview, duncan arrived and has already walked saying it's a true DH track that's gnarly, so he's pumped.

we'll launch Vital OTB tomorrow for predictions, but let's start the buzz! loic? sam hill? ratty? gonna be all time.

Looking for Neko to do well here. The environment resembles the Massanutten, VA resort where they've had some races in the past. Shale rock is East Coast style too.

Look for some serious surprises in the first round. Rat is back, Eliot can breathe, Loic is smiling, the Trek lads are fit as, and the CRC boys are feeling it. I'm interested to see Troy on this track, as well as some of the "under the radar" guys. This terrain is pretty gnarly and wide open, and much like Meribel, some cool stuff is going to go down for sure.

If it rains I say Hill or Hart. And Neko's best result was in the Cairns rain, so he could be up there as well.

I think Brosnan and Bruni will be battling for the overall all year.

I think Hill should do the full EWS. It's perfect for line finders like him.

I don't know man. This track is gnarly, steep, and a right mess the whole way down. That is classic Sam Hill finds the fast line through the ridiculous stuff territory. I think he will be showing the young guns how its still done this year. He's as fit as ever, handles a bike as well as anyone and just still has that line knack.

That's the new Specialized Hillbilly. It's offered up in DH and Grid casings and rips pretty damn good in a wide range of conditions. I highly recommend it. It's on their site too.

it's reported that nigel page confirmed Team CRC will run Royal Racing gear for DH. they were in the Mavic gear for "enduro" which is apparently a different-enough discipline.
