6/23/2026 6:28pm I don't think they answered a few peoples questions. I feel like a lot of people asked about chainstay/stack sizing and are the team members running the next size up chainstays.

5/26/2026 1:27pm Not necessarily true. Brands like Norco and Forbidden (and many more) change the position of the pivots on the main triangle, so that the rear stays can remain the same between the sizes, but the chainstay length changes.

2/10/2026 9:18pm I agree with others that 35-50mm is a safe bet, and that the guy in the video you posted is a bit of a kook. I'm running a 60mm stem on my long travel bike, which is clearly "the wrong size," and it's fine. The reach length of the bike is a little shorter than I'd prefer, so I made it feel longer with the long stem. I've got a 40mm stem on my shorter travel bike (because it has a slightly longer reach length than I'd prefer), and it takes roughly zero feet for me to get used to...

5/17/2025 9:03pm Agreed unfortunately. If that fits the rule book. Side note/soapbox to complain about Rick’s commentary. He doesnt talk about the riders, he just podcasts random crap while people are riding. Rob, Elliot and Aaron talked about the riders, results elsewhere, history, and other random facts. It’s like they did research and Rick, not so much.

5/6/2025 12:46pm But will they actually bring the cost down? That has yet to be determined. Ultimately I understand a need for a business needing to survive, but we don't know if they were profitable, we don't know if this was done to save money on DT Swiss's end. From my perspective, the long lead times despite high prices were an indicator...

5/6/2025 11:16am Dang! Was very close to biting the bullet and buying their brakes. A huge selling factor was "made in Germany"... And thats no longer the case it appears. I wonder if DT Swiss will bother to lower prices... Or will they just be pocketing all that extra margin from cheaper labor/operations/supply chains. Either way, not the best look DT Swiss...

3/19/2025 10:23am NRG is still cool, but now that Lanctot owns them a lot of the spirit is gone. You are right about Orange though, I missed them when thinking about Canadian distributors. They're more bike nerd or shop kid cool than 2008 TLD pajamas at the bike park on a Morewood cool though.

3/19/2025 10:22am Lama cycles, the last cool distributor in Canada is going on "Hiatus" for the time being as per the other site. Unfortunate as they were the only place to get nice DJ stuff in the country and was a huge supporter of DH in eastern Canada, although they were smaller than the big guys. Very sad to see them go.

3/5/2025 10:53am I saw that it was QBP after my initial post… they are my least favourite vendor. Not all parts are available to all shops. This won’t be for me, it’ll be hard for a shop to not lose out on labour and time with this model. It’s a great direct to consumer play if anything. Who even owns a printer these days

3/4/2025 3:41pm QBP is also the last distributor that we'd look at for ordering parts, because their stock/brands/availability was trash in Canada. Its possible its better in the States, and that because of this deal, they may stock more generic parts... but generally when i see these two brands partner up, I'd be concerned that this won't work in the long run...

2/7/2025 9:20pm As I say to everybody with a view like yours, come to Slovenia. We have a few climbs here where it's likely you'll be wishing for a 28t ring up front to replace the 30t on your bike to pair up with that wide range, 50+ tooth cassette out back. There are some people that can push insane gear ratios everywhere, but they are far an in between. There are different terrains around the world requiring different approaches. But overall, for most people, wide range cassettes are a benefit, not a negative. Having more options is great, but catering to...
