And comparing to F1 or SMX is not apples to apples. Those are lapped events were it can be sorted out easily by giving a place back not a race against the clock

Some things I’d try: Firmware update new shifter battery re-pair from scratch If none of the above work, warranty it. SRAM only has a 2 year warranty but if your LBS has a warranty guy who’s willing to push a bit they usually cave on stuff like this. Edit: before filing a warranty claim I’d do some isolating of variables; does the shifter work with another derailleur? the derailleur with another shifter?

Yeah I’ve heard the same. Just the demo vids show this thing to be worth the money though! My tire changing tip is to do it the night before, not the morning of. (As with 75% of bike maintenance needs) Making sure the first bead is all the way in the trough of the wheel before getting the other side on has always been an issue for me. A lot of good advice mention so far. Only thing I haven't seen that helps a ton is to constantly make sure the bead is dropped into the center of the rim when installing the tire. Makes it so much easier no matter the brand or casing type.

I used to use a compressor at the gas station, but I purchased the specialized MTB pump and it seats tubeless great. Done trail to dh casing without much fuss. I guess my only advice is to use soapy water to find any leaks, usually those show up on the spokes and show you should re tape.

These are all good tips, but one of those most simple ones that has not been mentioned is to make sure that the beads are pushed into the center rim well as you go to seat the second side of the tire. Failure to do this makes it damn near impossible to stretch the final bit of bead over. As for inflation once you've gotten the tire on the rim I do several things. If the tire is loose, I'll take a tie-down strap, run it around the tire circumference and snug it down to put pressure on the beads...

What do you mean by "better?" XTR uses fancy patented Hyperglide+ shift ramps because it's designed to shift fast under high loads. Transmission uses shift gates because it's designed to shift smoother under high loads. I currently have bikes with both hanging on my wall, and I think they both do exactly what they claim to do.
