I have a 5010, and for me, it's more fun to ride than the 41 pound ebike I have. But the ebike is more fun overall on big mountain days.
If you have the fitness, an SL ebike can do almost everything a full power bike can do, just not keep up with fellow riders who ride in boost all the time.

I sold my Levo last fall as I barely rode it, when I did it handled like a tug boat in slow speed tech, and my regular bike (5010 MX) was just way more fun. There is something to be said for e-bikes that ride like, wait for it...bikes. The closest I've ridden was the Heckler SL clocking at 43+ lbs with pedals. If it wasn't it's limited range, lower powered motor and Fazua being toast, I'd have already bought one. I'd like to and hope to see the focus for e-bikes going forward would be full power bikes with...

Not so much questions but more of comments... Maybe one question. I have the previous Demo, The "Van Halen" bike as it's known in the North East and Vital Bike of the day back almost 2 years ago. I have some connections with Specialized since I'm in the industry. Why should I spend LOOT on this new bike Vs. throwing on a Sidekick hub (cheap next month) And some trick stuff into my gold Fox 40? Also, I have owned a few, But never been a fan of carbon DH bikes. One wrong move in a rock garden..It get's expensive...

I was an SC fan from ‘99-‘13 owning 5 different models throughout that time period. They lost me when they first released the $10k Bronson as it didn’t ride notably better than similar bikes that cost notably less. I returned to SC ‘24 after being on a popular Horst-link that I just didn’t like. The modern lower-link VPP design was a stark contrast to how that bike pedaled and I remain a huge fan. Looks good. I think a trail bike of this ilk is the sweet spot for many, myself included. The Hugene CF is very similar in numbers to the Santa Cruz 5010 MX when that bike is spec'd with a 150mm travel fork. The suspension is also a counter-rotating VPP design with nearly the same numbers. I'd love to hear from someone who has ridden both on a comparison.

Thanks for the note & we are happy to be here! To be completely honest, I think this question is better posed toward companies that refused to tread into Superboost territory in the first place. We don't need any convincing - we still believe in the benefits of Superboost, although at the end of the day, we are a business who's goal is to actually sell bikes.
