MPH24 Added a comment about feature Vital Power Rankings, Windham World Cup - The 15 Fastest Going In

8/7/2014 6:28am
The Power Rankings are great! Can we get some power rankings for the Overall before this weekend is finished. It would be interesting to see what people think will happen. If the race goes like this, things will be very interesting... Troy and Rat look like the front runners, but are the Vets (Hill, Gwin, Minnaar) going to handle the pressure better??

My guess as well. Is the thought here that the SB5C is more of the SB66 replacement and this bike something more aggressive than the SB66? Its a damn good looking bike

@bturman any ideas on the angles on this bike? I am very curious about this design. I know a lot of people thinks its a maintenance nightmare, but how this any different than a VPP bike that collects a ton of dust and mud in the bottom link? I get the rails are proprietary and you'll have to rely on yeti for warranty, etc. but since they are out in the open they should be very easy to wipe down or hose after a ride

Nicholast Liked a comment about News Story Dave Weagle Ends Patent Lawsuit Versus Giant Bicycles

I'm going to play Devil's Advocate for a second here since there's a lot of assumptions and blind hate toward Giant. There are other possibilities for the lawsuit being dismissed than Giant being an evil Goliath. Maybe DW's claims of patient violations would not have held up in patient court as DW originally thought so he dropped the claims. Maybe the cost of litigation and the time fighting was not worth even the best possible outcome; this would likely have been true against even a small company and is not specific to a large company like Giant. Or maybe a...

I bet one of these 3 outcomes is what happened. Seems like DW gets in his fair share of lawsuits. Soudns like he needs to do a better job negotiating his contracts with these companies when he goes in to help them with designs...

MPH24 Added a comment about feature 7 Things the Leogang World Cup Taught Me

6/17/2014 5:51pm
Lot people always complain about wanting tracks that are "legit downhill tracks." What is a "legit downhill" track? Should there not be high speed sections? Motorways with big tables? Should every track can be full on gnar and insanely technical the entire time? Needles complained about arm pump at the bottom of leogang. I just think variety is key to finding who is the best rider over the year, which should be the goal. Vital crew. It would be cool to get a comprehensive review of what all the riders think about the track. I think certain riders will bitch...

Considering Gee crashed in the 2nd tunnel I would say there were more than 2 sections where the race was won and lost. I thought the weekend was great. Good to have variety in the tracks.

You sure? For some reason I remember Gee not doing well in qualifying last year at Mont Saint Anne and luckily for him he missed the rain because he went before the top guys. I know there are points on the line for qualifying but maybe some guys in the top 20 go slow in qualifying to start early on Sat if the conditions will be better?

MPH24 Added a comment about feature First Look: Santa Cruz Nomad - Completely Redesigned for 2014

4/2/2014 10:24am
@ballr so how did it pedal uphill compared to the older nomad? The slacker head angle makes it seem like it could be worse, but I always felt on the older nomads that the seat angle hurt uphill ability. Still love the nomad and this version looks awesome
