So no one is going to post the whole "Gwin is riding for KTM" rumor this time around? Lame

I agree this predictability things is a big deal, but this appeared work incredibly well for the first go. I wonder if in the future they will offer more a "gravity" setting where more emphasis is placed on the angle of the bike (i.e. going down) and have more of delay towards flat/uphill settings in their algorithm.

This should make the "Shreddy Awards" list for best scrub.

The insert stuff definitely helps, but this is ultimately the issue. You can't simply mash over anything in your way. I ripped a tire last night simply because I rode a dumb line. Total buzzkill for the post work ride, but I simply picked an awful line.

I really hope Eddie doesn't sign with Rebull. That would be a bummer. Now that he's a top 10 guy, Eddie needs a way more "bougie" helmet sponsor to fit his brand. I'm thinking something like Audi or Breville that fits in with the mid-30s enduro guy with his full carbon pivot on his kuat rack talking about how good...

General Lee's comment in the 2018 rumors about salaries is interesting. In inside line pod with Whitely, he mentioned that viewership is up, etc. with the stream and what not; is that playing a bigger role in increasing salaries? If salaries are up 20% plus over the past couple years, I think we are in for some big shakeups. At...

I love that we have options. I also love swanky rad stuff. Cool to see Shimano doing something new! That said, the (bigger) story to me right now is just how much performance you can garner for very little money. Its rad. 10 years ago there was such a big gap between the top end stuff and the bottom/mid end stuff. These days, I can buy a whole bike (that rips) for slightly more than the price of the XTR group and never once think about "poor shifting performance". Its the Pareto Principal, except it seems to be on steroids...

iceman, I have experienced the same type of longevity as you mentioned here. One thing I did notice when I had a pair that lasted around 14-16 months of riding is that I think the stiffness of the shoe became a little weaker but at that point the shoe had really been through the ringer.
