I like Neko's thinking. Given the riders at Windrock, I wonder if there is a real opportunity for the Southern States to put together a spring series that can be a good tune-up for WC riders (simply, a lot closer from a travel perspective for Euro based teams).

my thoughts exactly on soft + fast rebound. i think we asked Bryson of DVO about most common suspension set-up mistakes, and he said rebound was too slow for most riders. https://www.vitalmtb.com/features/Vital-MTBs-The-Inside-Line-Podcast-Ep… - you'll see in the RAW tomorrow that gee and the bike look pretty freaking dialed where he's riding.

With Gee's comments on rebound and Bruni's interview, are we seeing riders moving towards softer suspension settings (maybe more progression) and faster rebound? I think an early inside line podcast talked about this a bit (can't remember who). I tried this myself and the traction is awesome in the rough but you do miss a little on smoother tracks for pumping/playfullness

interesting. having never heard of graphene, i did the non-engineer thing and googled it to find it on wikipedia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphene - "strongest material ever tested" - it's history is pretty rad too. the "this one matters more" claim in their tease is what really made me think it had some sort of environmental advantage. some of the wiki stuff i sort of barely understood seemed to imply there were ways to make it more eco-friendly (that Tang-Lau method?). i'm way out of my league w/ any of this stuff though. to claim kevlar is "cycling's biggest change..." seems like...

You have to be a great rider like Loic and have the team to setup the equipment. You can't have one or the other. The skill of both Loic and his team are what make this happen. I don't think this thinking undermines Loic's skill. He's an outstanding rider and it's that ability coupled with the rest of the team that gets this type of performance. Best of luck next season Loic!
