8/27/2025 4:37pm I thought I'd seen it all... But then I saw someone hate on Bgoldstone in the Vital forums. A dark day indeed. (I can only assume they tagged the wrong person? Bgoldstone might be the most objective info, non-opinionated poster in the entire forum.)

8/15/2025 11:56am Just pointing out how we're headed back in the same direction as before when Peaty himself ran around the pits getting signatures to stop skinsuits & aero helmets to keep our sport's marketing identity separate from skiing on 2 wheels. We're back to aero suits, tucked behind the bars, zero pedaling, lean in as hard as possible to banked turns (even on 180s). The only time every racer doesn't look the exact same in a pic is in practice or a crash. We're coming back full circle to being skiers on bikes again. For taller, bigger riders, the weight added...

8/11/2025 1:13pm Hmmm, Chromag shirt, Chromag pants, Chromag gloves, Chromag wheels, Chromag saddle. Either it's a clue or it's some high level trolling.

8/9/2025 7:52am I agree, incentive is limited. I'm actually a sucker for rad paint jobs, and nobody is doing anything remotely cool these days on that front. Where the hell are the fades, splatters, metallics, neon colors, etc. No originality at all. Please drop some acid and get back to me.

8/6/2025 6:00am Anyone have experience with the Chromag BA30 rim? I did a deep dive on the toughest aluminum rims and that one came up in a lot of recommendations. I haven't tried it, but I'm always interested about sturdy alloy wheels. I'm not nice to rear wheels.

7/29/2025 6:19pm Jonathan Helly just keeps winning on the 2024 WAO prototype DH bike. Now he's the latest Canadian DH National Champion, and took last (3) Dunbar series races in a row. It would certainly be in consideration for "the" hot new DH bike of the year if only WAO was on the World Cup circuit, still making frames and made it available to the public... Oh what could have been.

7/21/2025 5:03pm Hey everyone, not mad at anyone in this thread (besides maybe myself). I clearly have ideas and a delivery style that probably isn’t ideal for a mountain bike forum. Robot wrote a genuinely great post (he’s a better writer than me), and I realized there was no way for me to counter it. Not because I didn’t have anything to say, but because I started turning into this (actual photo Tucker took of me this morning): Any frustration you see from me is with myself, not anyone else. I like friction. I like debate. What I don’t like is knowing...

7/21/2025 11:57am This might be the only mtb forum where people actually get along 84 pages in, talk about REAL books in both finance and philosophy, and say sorry. Long live vital

7/21/2025 11:56am I don't have a horse in this race other than being very sad if Jeff stops posting his type of posts, and interacting with all of us in reply to help us along. It seems to me Jeff's posts were (are) nearly universally loved here, there's a reason I started jokingly referring to this thread as "bike industry talk and lessons in finance with Jeff". It would be a different landscape without Jeff and I hope he reconsiders.

6/23/2025 7:37am Can we make a forum thread where people complain about edit music, its guaranteed every single time sleeper post something that isnt 20-40 year old generic rock and metal. Let sleeper be a creative. As a big metal guy, this slaps.

6/18/2025 8:12am How about Lobster or Shrimp links? Both are somewhat related to crabs and that's kind of what you look like when you ride an XC bike (hunched back to a low bar/stem. Just imagine the negative stems that will be on 32" XC race bikes... carcinization continues as Nino Schurter goes from GOAT to Lobster)

6/11/2025 12:00pm I mean, I don't think it's unreasonable to be proud that WAO products are made in Canada and (were) owned by a Canadian and kinda bummed that it's now owned by an American. We may not have the overt patriotism that Americans do, but we're still pretty damned proud. How many Americans would stop buying or supporting distinctly American brands like i9 or Profile Racing if they were bought by someone outside of the US? I'm not sure it would be massive, but I'm sure there the sentiment would be similar. If it has to be someone, it sounds like...
