A properly supported Angel on a winning bike is someone who has been able cross the line in the green in the past. Angels had some rough luck over the years with weird team dynamics, teams folding, and injury. I'd love to see 2-3 seasons of that guy healthy and supported.

Aventon is cool in my book. Sponsoring Tippie and Angel and making a quality, reasonably priced ebike. Sounds better than one more super posh boutique brand making a product that costs five figures.

The etiquette piece might be my single biggest grievance from the ebike crowd. I'm a big guy and climbing is not my strength, so I have PLENTY of experience with being passed on the uptrails by both regular and ebike riders. The ebike riders are exponentially worse at saying excuse me, on your left, or simply making some noise to let you know they're behind you. Wyn, would be great, they really need to sort the commentary out, its absolutely abysmal. Ric talks some amount of absolute pish, and they really need to be on site and have at least one of the commentators going round the pits and speaking to the riders in the run up to the race and be able to offer some interesting insights.

my 2 cents after spending some time on the bike is that I really want to spend more time on the bike. A couple anecdotes here: I was surprised at how well it pedalled and the lack of heft that I was expecting after looking at it. If they're going to have a remote studio in the UK (which sucks) that at least means they could get Brits to commentate for way cheaper than having to fly them out to a race. Rob Warner, Rachel Atherton, Gee Atherton, Brendan Fairclough, Ratboy are all right there. They all either have way more commentating skill, have raced more recently than 1200 BC, or both. Ric wasn't that bad, but was definitely not "good", and whoever the new guy is was atrocious. He just repeated what Ric said, and said "when I was racing when the wheel was first invented"...

Since Ronan is currently injured why not invite him to commentate using his ratboy impression. Hell invite ratboy too. Nobody would understand much but it would still be an improvement.

I wrote this on Pinkbike but will crosspost here to as I firmly believe ABS should not be involved in WCDH. I'm all for innovation in DH and I am absolutely fine with electronics in suspension but I strongly believe that ABS has no place in competitive DH. Braking ability and threshold braking are massively important skill that do separate riders. Having a system that would theoretically allow a rider to just full pull brake but not lock the wheels would be a huge advantage on most tracks and certainly would for low grip tracks or conditions.
