2/23/2023 7:49am Cannondale Factory Racing’s Max Beaupre works for Neko, too. I wouldn’t be surprised if Max is sharing some team-only/development parts. Pretty sure Cannondale has whole bins full of different links for that bike that they made up before they released production bikes.

2/8/2023 5:54am Bear Creek was the first venue for USAC enduro national championships. Shitty little ski hill, but incredibly close to East Coast population centers. It’s hard to imagine an economically viable ski-industry owned bikepark wanting to run stand alone gravity nationals… if you can’t rent bikes to tourists for a week, that would put you in a world of hurt.

2/8/2023 5:38am Bear Creek was the XC nationals venue last time USAC abandoned holding a proper combined national championship. It’s typical PA jank. At least it’s not at 10,000ft Look at 2013,14 coverage (ahaha coverage of USAC xc nationals might exist out there somewhere!)

Yeah, but this is the de-evolution of american bike racing. It should be scorned, not celebrated. When a publicly traded gym chain buys a bunch of objectively bad races and spends more money making more bad, overly long non-technical participation-based events, there is no rule that says Vital should be covering it. Domestic XCO does exist in America, but this ain’t it. This is road racing, without the skills, excitement or drama, on courses Ned and Tomac would have straight up refused to race, because they are overpriced garbage.

1/18/2023 3:56pm I can imagine a scenario where this split championship doesn’t work, economically, for legit venues and we end up with some sub standard xc or gravity venue because they are literally the only people interested. Fingers crossed.
