Matt Jones is a smart guy. He's beyond just being a rider with a Redbull helmet and established himself as a personality they can use across other sports. He made himself valuable, whereas Remi and Laurie, although sick riders, didn't do that. Unless you're Jackson Goldstone or Gracey level racing, I think you need to do more for the brand to be kept around.

I think it's safe to say that Red bull are prioritising athletes that make content. Laurie and Remy have been pretty quiet over the last few years, despite being amazing riders. Whereas Matt Jones keeps his because he is constantly making content for them

The fascination with Dak, Gwin and BK on this forum is wild and getting so boring! The pivot team are wearing different helmets who cares they are a team and they are racing, I’m sure the way that the bike industry is going people are getting sponsors but can wrangle a deal with other companies if they want, like in most sports they play for the same teams but they don’t have to wear the same boots/shoes/goggles

I loved the pre-Adidas 5.10 shoes. They were my favourite flat pedal shoe. Post Adidas, I really didn't like the direction they took. The soles of the last post-Adidas pair I had were so ridiculously soft that my feet hurt from pedalling in them. I could feel my foot folding around the pedals. It was like riding barefoot. well, two riders left Pivot, so maybe the focus can be put towards Maples who could possibly get a ok salary there. But yes, i wish he had got a place at Scott or Frameworks or Commencal.
