The Duffman Added a reply to Tire debate: Cannibal, HR3, or Radial

Radial MM is great, especially for deeper soil or soil that is loose. However for hardpack or a thin layer of loose over hard I prefer the tacky chan. That tire locks in like none other, as long as you commit to the lean angle. Also rolls faster than the MM. heard there is a radial tacky chan in the...

I have an Orbea Wild with the Bosch Gen 5 motor. Pretty impressed with it even with “only” a 600wh battery. I can get 5200’ of climbing with almost all of that climbing in tour+ at the default settings. Lots of room for tunability in the app too. I find the + modes to deliver power in a more natural...

Have to say I have had much different results with this tire. For the first couple of corners I did notice the vagueness associated with the open channel (especially coming from assegai/kryptotal type treads) . But after committing to more of a lean angle these tires in ultra soft rail corners harder than anything out there once you engage the bite of the side knobs. Perhaps it is terrain dependent, as I mostly ride loose over hardpack type natural trails. Not so much deep silty stuff.

This is exactly how I feel about the TC and the Conti setups. I came from Krypto fr xynotal rear and would have happily gone that route again if super soft was offered in the enduro casing. I just didn't want to pedal around the DH casing anymore on big days. So while waiting for the enduro casing to be...

Yes, once you set the edge they hold a line really well. I only run it in the front and it brakes fine there but there are better braking tires for sure for the rear. I'd be curious to see how it would perform as a radial.

Tacky Chans may look similar but don't perform like a minion. They grip like crazy in corners. Don't have the vagueness between lean angles either. The middle blocks are offset a bit more towards the channel so they don't have as much of a drift zone.

I emailed continental yesterday about the enduro casing in super soft. They said April or May of 2025 so a bit more of a wait. Now I have to figure out what to get in the mean time since my DH super soft tires are finally needing to be replaced.
