11/4/2025 3:44am Do you think jumping on an unproven bike would be a good move compared to his current setup which seems to work great for him? Personally think Mondraker would be mad to get rid of him. The team have the potential to have a 1 2 3 podium.

11/4/2025 3:44am My hunch is that Jess Blewitt is probably gonna go Yeti. They love kiwis and she's off Cube. Will Cube add another elite male? Can Aon racing actually afford another elite rider? Dak on the Axess NP team would actually be sick.

11/4/2025 3:43am I’d bet intense was less than 15% of the funding for that team. Joe put a lot into developing axxess or whatever his program is. Tons of other sponsors, many that aren’t super mainstream, which usually means a bit more budget. They were in intense cause Joe helped develope that bike and didn’t wanna let it go as soon as the bike was actually good. If intense did have a team this year it would take them getting a lot of funding from outside sponsors. Possible but seems unlikely. They seem intent with just going after the NA market and...

11/3/2025 5:43am Everything at Specialized is 100% oriented towards Bruni. I don't think this is what Höll wants. I'd guess, her future team will be built around her, with people she feels comfortable with. That is why the Les Orres rumour is pretty obvious. Plus the bike is proven fast.

11/2/2025 1:19pm Are you training (focused training time not just ride time) 8-11 hrs per week (5-6 sessions) with specific goals? If yes then do an 80/20 plan of polarization with that 80% being Z2 and the 20% being a combo of threshold and high intensity. Due to the total volume of training the body can't recover from higher amounts of high intensity, so it's Z2 working at a level that has adaptations but doesn't prevent recovery from those very key high intensity sessions. These athletes will also shift that 80/20 (70/30 or 60/40) to lower Z2 and more focused intensity in...

11/2/2025 1:17pm First of all, this is an exceptional article that is well done, is not even biased towards e-bikes and it puts some facts and data to the comparison between the two I was on team anti-E bike for years thinking how core I was & that E's were for newbs and lazy people. But after a catastrophic knee injury & multiple surgeries, an E was the only thing that kept me moving outdoors in my beautiful mountains (gravel roads) vs sitting on a fan bike in my house... my sense of gratefulness to even be out on simple zero-gnar gravel...

11/2/2025 1:10pm Where i live its either up or down. Mostly steep. It is pretty much a hard job to even stay in z3. The e bike therefore helps a lot. Ride the same trails, stay in Z2. Builds base, needs less recovery. go full blast with the spaghetti powered bike, build strength and explosivity, needs more recovery. Yes you could also go full ham on the ebike and train anaerobic and sprints. Even Threshold would also be easly possible (probably the hardest on the e-bike i guess..) so you could argue you don't need the spaghetti bike for training reasons. A...

11/2/2025 4:37am 1) this easily the most comprehensive flat-pedals listing ON EARTH (and growing) - bookmark it!; 2) if you didn't scroll or CTRL-F straight to the pedals you love / ride... you're not core; 3) if you got upset where your fave pedals ranked, you're core; 4) well done fellas. I've moved all my flat pedals to Sensus Crue's but good god, how do you not want to try just about all of these pedals for yourself? Life is just too short...

11/1/2025 7:03pm The assertion that e-bikes decrease fitness is widespread. On the surface, the reasoning appears sound: riders often feel like they have expended more energy after a normal ride compared to an e-bike ride. Therefore, normal bikes must provide superior fitness benefits, right? Not quite. This surface-level analysis misses several crucial insights about how fitness actually works. Let's start with a simple fact: work done is work done, regardless of the bicycle beneath you. If you maintain the same effort level on an e-bike as you would on a traditional bike, you'll simply travel farther in the same time. In this...

11/1/2025 12:21pm I love a linkage fork, it's a clear violation of KISS but tickles the engineer frenulum. I'm in he camp if they'll never be dominate or mainstream, but will always be periodically popping up in concepts, homebrews, student bikes, etc. they're fun. As a fan of the concept, one of the biggest signs they're just not worth it is watching BMW slowly move away from them. K bikes are related to 1600cc inline 6 monsters, so the duolever is dead on anything except huge sport tourers. The telelever was on almost every boxer for decades, and they ran leading links...

11/1/2025 12:16pm In my opinion it's just a regular Lapierre GLP3 without the plastic cover (probably for better cooling/heat dissipation) ? Vincent Ledieu is working for Michelin, I don't think he is involved in Lapierre bikes development.

10/31/2025 4:03pm New article on Pinkbike on rumors shouts out the "sleuths on the vital forums." Haha. Main one of interest was that they listed Danny Hart off Norco as "debunked" and said they've talked to Minaar who debunked it.

10/31/2025 10:09am As I get older, I’ve come to really appreciate “culture” as a larger driving force than we tend to acknowledge. You can grab attention fast with a stunt, but lasting viewership takes time, many decades, for the underlying culture to mature. It has little to do with broadcast length, equipment, or announcers. Those things help add iterative improvement to what exists, but for mountain biking to become truly mainstream, the only real solution is time. Remember, people spend countless hours watching golf, baseball, the Tour de France, and plenty of other sports that can seem “boring” at first glance. The...

10/31/2025 10:08am I like bulldog, awesome rider and his comeback was inspiring. With that said, he has openly criticized multiple bike brands that he has ridden for. If I was a marketing manager for a bike company I would be reluctant to sign him with worries he would bash the bikes, calling them trash etc.
