11/20/2025 2:36am We can only hope that a new crab link bike is dropped today so it takes its rightful place as the centrepiece of page 1000

11/19/2025 9:29am I'd argue that seat tube/top tube juncture and the elbow where the chainstay meets the bb is entirely consistent with Yeti's design language, just reconceptualized around a different suspension design. The rocker link and seat stay bridge don't stray far from the current DH bike. It's been out a few years now so no secret anymore, but I saw an aluminum test mule for their ebike platform way back in 2017 that looked a lot like this. Given that pic is from 2023 it's anyone's guess if it's something they pursued any further after refining the DH bike. The fact...

11/19/2025 9:27am The cable entry design at the headtube, lack of in frame storage, and the overcomplicated pivot/link situation at the bottom bracket, all lead me to suspect Yeti. I feel like Yeti needs something complicated like dw6 or switchfinity is to convince people they are buying the premium suspension option. Meanwhile, suspension designs from 30 years keep winning every DH world cup

11/19/2025 9:24am That proto frame goes way back. I shot this photo of it in the early fall of 2023. Sorry for poor quality. The obvious heel rub and linkage swap-out (on your more current photo) shows it's seen a lot of hours. The guy riding it started working for a different bike company, so he may have offloaded this one to another industry friend. At the time, I was thinking it was maybe a Diamondback prototype that got canceled/never saw the light of day. He was fairly open with it; it was spotted at local Seattle area watering hole(s), etc.

11/18/2025 8:20am I certainly wasn't at all optimistic for Nukeproof's future when I heard that Mike Ashley of all people bought CR/Wiggle. It's good to see it back and not consigned to the Sports Direct dumpster like many other brands he's got his mitts on over the years. Anyway, back on track.... Dak and Blewitt to Scott. Sorry for lack of puns and cryptic doodles.

11/18/2025 8:19am Three times. There was Gwin. Couple years later they cut Dak and Davey Boy at the end of the season, closed their race team, only to immediately start the mob. And now this.

11/17/2025 12:50pm Saudis buying WBD? WBD just sent me the $3k invoice for filming Vital RAWs this year (I figured they forgot), so maybe they're getting ducks in a row.

11/17/2025 12:50pm Not surprising for them to pick up some easy riders who don't require much structure other than a small pay checks and some frames or bikes. You could have 20 riders out there posting about your stuff to a huge audience for a quarter the cost of what it takes to run the mob. If the Mob does come back, it'll likely be small with up and coming riders who need something as I'm sure top riders will be wary unless they're getting paid a 3 year contract upfront going forward.

11/16/2025 12:54pm Dylan to Les orres feels like it makes the most sense. I’d imagine with Vali joining, that team is gonna get a real bump in budget this year, so won’t feel like a huge step backwards. He’s used to the bike, and the commencal guys really seem to like him. He’s still posting a lot on n his commencal trail bike, which could mean nothing, but if he was moving over to a new bike he might be less inclined to do that.

11/15/2025 1:53pm Going off @ therock911's cryptic comment to check out the headtube cable insertion for clues, it doesn't look like a Yeti SB120 or new Scott Gambler, but it does look pretty close to a new Norco Sight. I chose the newest bikes I could think of from each brand as a gauge of how they're doing cable routing right now:

11/15/2025 1:52pm More on this, the shape says Yeti but it's not their usual Sixfinity layout? I know from messing with 6-Bars in Linkage that you can get a similar effect from those twin chainstay links as you can from the sliding link too. The shock layout compromised water bottle mounting and the sliding link compromised seatpost insertion, so IF (and it's a big if) this is a Yeti, it seems like they'd be moving away from their old platform for quality of life reasons?
