So I kind of like the new format when it comes to Q1 and Q2, but I wish they kept the vestiges of protection, and if top riders qualify in Q2, they still race at the back on raceday. It really sucked to see Jackson, Amaury, and Finn have 30 only seconds of their run broadcast in Poland because they got in in Q2.

This exact issue was addressed 3 months ago when the Fox Podium got leaked here and Sspomer deleted the post and explained why. Vital playing by the rules means they get access to product early, so we get great reviews and also fosters good will in these forums where a lot of industry people come and contribute. Why jeopardize the best MTB tech forum there is so we can see shots of a product 5 days early? Also note the leaks from the factory via weight weenies didn't get deleted?

IMO it doesn't come down to shimano (or any brand launching a product) being the problem in this case. they have a launch coming up (they said, june 5). they have to get their product and info in the right places before the launch. it's a kook or two at these places (OE, shops, brands, media, who knows) who are posting things they don't have a right to post. if shimano asks vital to remove stuff but not other outlets, it must mean our viewers are actually important 🤣

We've had zero issues with bearing life or even paint for that matter and im going to say it: 100% success rate in washing with a pressure washer(being a basic one on 'fan' mode.) without 1 bearing failure from water. Build your bike to make it easy Maintenace for a customer the mtb industry moved away from exposed bearings many years ago so this issue of pressure washing risk of bearing rust should be next to gone if using a proper shielded washer/thick grease.

I bought a couple packs of YT Capra cable grommets (they're kind of teardrop shaped) and install them everywhere that brake lines enter and exit my frame when the bike is brand new, before I bleed the rear brake. Kind of a pain, but worth it. SRAM hose bumpers where the front brake rests against the fork lower. I put a thin coat of marine-grade grease on saddle clamps and the top couple inches of the inside of the seat tube. @bizutch AGAIN, your points A-E have been discussed and settled here days ago. clearly the UCI didn't care about the color of the poles on the jump and they used the timing blow-up as the outside barrier in that section as well as in one other place on track. that was how they marked the course with their official B Line around the jump. it had been in play since day 1, despite the insanely confusing layout of the markers.

All that is needed for the new Rallon is for Fox to release the USD fork so the same front wheel can be used in enduro and DH mode.

As a trail builder who likes clean forests, f*** course tape, that plastic ribbon has a way of sticking around forever. I'm talking in generalities here, not necessarily WCDH, but I'd like to see tape completely go away (same with tear-offs). Poles are a better solution, just need to use a wee bit of common sense. Stripe them if they're a caution/jump marker vs course marker. Works for color blind riders and can be done with a handy roll of gaff tape instead of having a separate inventory of markers. Just put 3 black stripes on markers that won't DQ...

1. it was addressed in this forum hours after it happened with the link to the carlson trackwalk video saying the b zone is around the jump in track and the timing banner being the course limit. 2. countless number of podcasts and people you just mentioned above talked about it after it was sorted here. the answers were out there days ago. doesn't change the fact course labeling was bush-league, but it's done and gone. all we can do is see how loudenvielle is laid out.
