This is all fine and dandy, but they are riding the same length chainstays? I know not everyone needs (or likes or wants) 462mm rear centers, but also many of us are done with 430 too…..and for pivot specifically, I friggin loved my pivots but stopped even considering then once I found a 450 to fit me so well, and then to discover that rear center length was something I was tuned into with my riding

I have to admit, the "companies are making regular bikes look more like e-bikes so the e-bikes look more like regular bikes" conspiracy theorists just got a little more ammunition with the release of the Heckler SL.

What is it about the seat angle and head angle you wouldn't call "modern"? If the HA was over 65 degrees I would agree but its 64 which is spot on IMO, going slacker than that would bring more drawbacks than anything. Proportionally sized chainstays are a nice to have but logistically difficult, and are still pretty rare. Kinematics are far from the most difficult I've seen, its pretty high but up to around 110kg is not a problem and as long as the spring is appropriate they will work really well, unlike other challenging bikes which have more compromise...

Im probably going to get ripped apart for this, but it really surprises me that we do not have more forks like the Lefty or the Intend Bandit. It was not perfect, but given the more recent capabilities in manufacturing, we could probably make it a lot better these days. Ive heard from many (at the time) that when it was working normally, the last iteration of the Lefty was awesome. I know some hate the look of them, but we for some reason we have accepted massive pregnant downtube bikes to be a thing, kind of. Maybe Im not...

Hm, even if this guy was 200cm tall, 105kg is not healthy and there is absolutely no discussion about that. I know I know, sensitive topic on American forum,but closing eyes and saying everything's gonna be alright is not going to change that. Sorry.
