10/23/2025 10:54am Hi all, I'm the 'Gosling' being referenced in the Bikeradar article. I had meetings in Les gets with five teams, YT being one and I'll start by saying that Gunnar Franke (Team Manager) is one of the best guys in the pits running a great team with awesome riders and staff. However we (Nukeproof) don't have the budget to go from 'no team' to one of the best, and highest budget teams in the pits when today we are not even selling any bikes. I also feel that we are not the type of brand that wants or needs one...

10/23/2025 10:31am I could see yeti being a good spot to land for both parties. I think Norton and Rude would be able to grow a lot and help each other as teammates. My prediction is he stays on mondraker or ends up on Trek or Yeti.

10/23/2025 10:29am Redbull used to do 1 sponsored athlete per sport, per country but I think that's been more of a guideline.. I don't see them splitting up the Alran brothers if they go that route..

10/23/2025 10:28am I can't see Neko doing anything other than hunting for another fast Jr. These days a hot Jr can get as much press as an established Elite.

10/16/2025 8:37am Not exactly an innovation per se; but Raaw has started offering the option to rent a toolbox full of all their adjustments included. You get it for two weeks so you can decide if any of those adjustments make sense before you buy. And, get a discount when you do decide to buy something afterwards. Pretty cool idea. https://raawmtb.com/en-us/collections/parts/products/raaw-factory-suppo…

10/15/2025 8:41am With Reynolds and I9 both doing similar things as far handling warranty for CSS made wheels, it kinda goes back to earlier comments regarding warranty as a marketing tool.. Next up, someone throws out there, break any brand of carbon wheel and we'll sell you a discounted replacement.. Race to the bottom? In other news, a friend was telling me yesterday that we may be hearing Haro related news by the end of the month..

10/14/2025 12:45pm I'm confused as to why my opinion regarding a high pivot Enduro is controversial? We saw from the patents and some sneak peeks that it's being developed in the same way with the same linkage style as the Demo prototype, it would only make sense for Specialized to make the Enduro a high pivot to match as it would likely have the same linkage rock strike issue with a normal pivot.

10/9/2025 1:35pm I remember being in Whistler and being told that one day in the winter made more money than the whole summer.. Granted, this was 20 years ago and mountain biking can't be bad for them as they keep expanding the bike operations. Here in SoCal at Snow Summit, you don't see the overflow parking getting used in the summer like you do almost every weekend in the winter..

10/7/2025 9:11am This is exactly what I was telling, then shouting, then screaming, then giving up talking about to pro-tariff folks: The quest to extract every cent of value from every nook and cranny it was hiding in ultimately lead to offshoring every single thing that could possibly be offshored...in the 90s and early 2000s. We've had 20+ years of NO real development in that area and any development that happened was then immediately offshored to do it at a lower cost. In doing that, we've been hiring and giving on-the-job experience to anyone in another country who was willing to eat...

10/7/2025 9:10am It amazes me how petty removing the low value exemptions is - it’s like another actively hostile way to stick it to people while misappropriating funds. I guess it’s possible they exempted the lever variant for tiny hands though?

10/7/2025 9:07am When you break a Magura MT7 lever save the clamp piece, it fits the Hayes Dominion lever. You can’t go the other way as the MT7 wood screws don’t fit thru the Dominion clamp holes.

10/6/2025 9:40am As soon as I saw the lawsuit and read through the details, i was ready to quit Strava. Garmin gives me more information for free from just buying the device, where Strava has shut down services over the years, including using Bluetooth sensors back in the day. Other than the social side of it, Strava is useless if you already have any devices app, such as Garmin connect. Maybe they're trying to hurt Garmin and release their own devices for the run up to an IPO, which is likely too late in the game unless they are absolutely game changing...
