They said a lot but could have saved all that marketing talk and hooked my by simple saying, it'll arrive true out of the box. I can't be the only one that receives only wobbly disks?

I kinda gotta give it to Bosch for not feeling the pressure and going beyond 750watts. 120nm seems sensible with the 600%. 12A charging will be nice If you forget or do a big morning and want to charge back up during lunch - im actually considering getting the 600wh battery to drop 1k/2.2lbs however they are still expensive just for 1kg.

That logo is bad, and Öhlins should feel bad for using it.

That battery is basically at the headtube. Interesting to see the 'lower weight placement = better handling' argument has lost to having an SL-slim downtube. It would be really interesting to ride a mondraker or commencal Bosch and DJI back-to-back to see if there's any merit whatsoever to the argument. Although you raise the bikes center of gravity the extra weight over the front. Unrelated, the shiny black lower ohlins are way better, but please just go back to a vertical O or invent something that isn't this pathetic new shape.

In product news today, Öhlins just dropped a coil kit for their new RXF36 m.3 fork (the kit is not backwards compatible with m.2 and older): -------------------------------------------------------- Earlier this year we introduced the RXF36 m.3 fork, and now the time has come to launch the new coil version and coil kit. With a lighter chassis, a new stanchion surface treatment, and enhanced sensitivity and comfort, riders can enjoy the predictable and plush feel of a coil spring along with the excellent traction and control it delivers. Installation is very easy and only requires the 18867-01 coil kit tool. As with...

What are you going on about? A bike is only useful for a region because of some made up ratio keyboard warriors use to justify their geo. Been riding EVILS for years, all over Europe , US, Canada, South America. They ride amazing everywhere. If you actually learn how to ride a bike with a short chain stay, your mystical golden ratio of bike useability is a crock of nonsense. That's coming from someone who has ridden 1.7-1.93's. You can ride the rubber off all of them, they just require different rider inputs to maximize the handling characteristics. Full stop...

Fair enough. I'm sure if someone is dedicated and using it as a recovery tool, sure - but they are probably already fit. Or as someone else mentioned, if you are injured and rehabbing - then yeah, its probably better than nothing. Anecdotally, the riders I know who now ride their ebikes almost exclusively have definitely lost fitness. Those same riders also now blast around everywhere in full boost mode the entire time. So...yeah. I like my ebike and its a fun toy, that's about it. (I also do not "train" or race, so this is all from someone who...

Great review by the way, I've been enjoying a lot of the recent reviews on here, especially with the follow up discussions that add more detail and long term impression of the product in the real world! It feels much more useful for the end user, or someone like me who is selling product but doesn't get to spend a lot of time on every single new thing that gets launched

The Lift damper only came out last year, and the V2 update just this spring, so it's only very recently been in our own forks. But, in prior years, our Ribbon forks won "Suspension Product of the Year" on PB and received very positive reviews from WideOpen Mag, Singletrack, and elsewhere – including a great user review here. So, in my eyes they're hardly "meh," but people are entitled to their own opinions. Hope we get to change yours in the future. 👍

Need all black gear with black logos & a simple reflective marker on the riders side facing back toward traffic. For pedaling back from a trail up the side of a 2 lane at dusk. Just copy the Nukeproof pant or Rapha (especially Rapha's phone pocket location) & you'll be golden.

I have a 20 year old 36 with a 20mm axle in the parts bin. From before someone dreamed up this 15mm foolishness.

2017 debut? I had a Fox 36 in 2010 with a 20mm thru axle. And it wasn’t a new thing at that point. As far as 20 vs 15, it sounds like Fox did some A/B testing and they went with the 20. But, also, Push stuck with 15mm and that fork’s stiffness/flex characteristics sound similar to the Podium.

Fox famously dabbled with an inverted DH fork in 2011, and quickly scrapped the project due to negative rider feedback, including excessive weight and torsional flex. 15 years later, they’re bringing back the inverted idea, but upping the difficulty by moving to a single crown platform. The new fork is heavy, unconventional, expensive, and risky, but FOX thinks it’s going to blow your mind. In fact, they’ve already secured spec for the Podium on bikes from at least nine different brands for 2026, which includes a mix of e-bikes and normal bikes. You can hear more about why FOX...
