6/23/2025 8:07am You are so lost in the sauce. Like 4 different people gave great explanations of how flex stays work and you dismissed every single one, but want a "data driven discussion" when you can't comprehend a literal Microsoft paint diagram. Now you don't like "buzzy undamped coil spring", this is comedy gold. @CascadeComponents Can i formally apologize for this member of the forum and please say come back to discuss things with us Vital users that don't have a crayon missing from the box.

6/12/2025 8:10am One of the guys in the pic below threatened to shoot a cyclist few weeks back. You guys wanted Pandora's Box opened. I grew up gaining permission from other land owners to ride with their kids on bicycles then motos. Anywhere we took a bike, a moto poached & did not care if we got kicked out. Anywhere we were permitted to ride 2 wheels (usually just swapping out at each others property if we each had a bike), motos would poach & not care. E-bikes are just the bastard child of both categories. Making them dead silent thanks to...

5/29/2025 10:06am Can I patent the ole one eye squint? For real tho, equalizing the gap on each side between the sanctions and bars is way easier than aligning the stem with the tire.

5/29/2025 10:05am What's funny is that they're actually using the official bleeding edge hose with it still. The EZMTB bleed kit is GOATed anyway, I'd definitely use it over the official kit lol

5/29/2025 10:04am i just want to make one last comment re: deleting pics, community etc then i'll be quiet. over the last few years, i've become very aware of how much of a privilege it is to be a part of a community that is supported by some of the best brands in our game. but the key word here is community...YOU all are the community. without you and your sleuthing, your knowledge, your stoke for the sport and its equipment, or your informed opinions, vital wouldn't be very special. with that said, if all vital does is bow down to brands...

5/29/2025 10:00am i added to my post above with more clarification, FYI. IMO it doesn't come down to shimano (or any brand launching a product) being the problem in this case. they have a launch coming up (they said, june 5). they have to get their product and info in the right places before the launch. it's a kook or two at these places (OE, shops, brands, media, who knows) who are posting things they don't have a right to post. if shimano asks vital to remove stuff but not other outlets, it must mean our viewers are actually important 🤣

5/28/2025 7:28am I am a member of the alfa anonymous club as well. I had a 75 (milano in the states) verde that I absolutely adored, despite it ruining my life on many occasions. When it was working right, it was the best car experience possible... but those days were few and far between. There is a certain irony of such a reliable and function over form bike, being transformed into a form/meets function bike with an homage to a form over function car livery. I must admit, I lamented when the new 141/161 came out and they had the hump in...

iceman2058 Liked a comment about product review Tested: Race Face Turbine Flat Pedal
5/27/2025 9:42am The Vaults are still listed at £120.00 on DMR's website (and many online shops). Of course, it's not unusual to be able to find good deals on such a long-running product, but the Vault isn't an £80.00 pedal. As for the comparison, as I stated in the review text, the Turbine does seem like a more robust construction, which is the only weak spot of the Vault.

12/11/2024 5:39pm When you order it, it does actually come tuned for you already. But since a lot of people love tinkering with their setups, we figured we'd try to make it easier rather than obstruct their efforts.

12/11/2024 5:39pm People are ridiculous and nearsighted about price. $400 more than a cane creek or Ohlins and you got a totally custom shock from a guy doing cool things. If that’s what you want. Less than that, actually, because the custom setup you want plus shipping is gonna run you $200. Sounds like a good deal. Just like how an Atherton costs what an Sworks or Santa Cruz costs

Kiowa008 Added a comment about press release McLaren (Yes, that McLaren) Launches Hyperbike e-MTB with 161nm Torque, 852w Peak Power
11/3/2024 7:36pm Got to see a McLaren Venge at a tiny shop I worked at as a grom. The buyer was a super interesting dude who made a relative fortune selling one-trip shipping containers in California. There was either a quarter or half pound weight savings over the standard venge frame which was pretty cool. Way ahead of its time in regards to frame construction. Still 2 very, very different takes on a bicycle lol

9/17/2024 12:42pm 1. The stevo has had a rabid fan base, but we all have cascade links and wrp yokes. This bike will be sick once/if people make some mods for them… 2. Geo is super workable. Worst size is s4 and you can buy an s5/s6 chainstay for it. Cahal is doing just that. 3. I feel like speci is lying by omission here with regards to the stumpy and StEvo. A rep said they were saving the name for something truly Evo worthy. If that’s true, a lot of the criticism that we have for the reg Stumpys could be...

8/2/2024 7:00am It’s not for me, but that/this is just my opinion. I am a bit gutted to see that the new trend might be wirelessly gears only and I can understand why but are theses companies doing it a few years too early? Personally I would like to see wireless gear only frames once the gear cable hole is pretty much redundant. It’s also not as bad as it is being made out though, it looks like Specialized will be doing a Alu Stumpjumper that takes a gear cable and the other company getting a lot of heat in the other...
