6/17/2024 8:34pm The UDH has material that creates a slot for the hub endcap to help with axle installation. Transmission uses a 55mm chainline and the whole cassette is spaced outbound by 3mm, so when trying to use a Transmission cassette with a standard UDH, the chain will drag on this "slot" material when in the smallest cog. I love everything about my XO transmission except that it's electronic. Would trade for a cable actuated system with the same operating characteristics and durability in a heartbeat.

6/16/2024 9:01pm SRAM indicates it does not work, my angle grinder believes otherwise. Grinding non-critical centering material off a UDH dropout provided required clearance between the smallest cog and dropout. Shifts great - especially improved shifting to harder gears and under load. X0 (XS-1295) cassette, XX t-type chain, XX1 Eagle mechanical shifter and derailleur.

5/31/2024 1:46pm Gorgeous, very very nicely executed. The foam is a great touch! Questions: how does the shifter mount to the bar? Standard band clamp or a little custom jobber? Also, where is the actuator for the seatpost? Also x2: how much does it really weigh? Was there a metric/imperial issue there?

4/8/2024 9:22pm I don’t know how I rode this thing… 2011 GT Alloy Fury Proto. 1 of 5 made, 3 went to destructive testing, 1 to paint and design and I somehow ended up with the 5th one. It was supposed to go to Marc Beaumont but he declined it due to weight (maybe a little ugliness too). SN read (MD-05)

2/19/2024 1:50pm 100% as long as it's not compromising suspension design or something else performance-wise. Can be used to mount a tube/multi-tool/handsaw etc instead as well. All very useful things

1/31/2024 8:49am How many people here go all in on standardizing their own fleet? I have 3 bikes myself and my wife has two. In order to keep my life simple, spare parts under control and service procedures simple, I've standardized the following in the fleet: -All SRAM brakes with metallic pads. Code RSC on my bikes, Guide/G2 on my wife's bikes. 200mm hs2 rotors across all bikes -All SRAM drivetrains, all 12 speed and all 10-50t cassettes -All dt350 hubs -30mm IW wheels on everything to ensure tires/casings act the same on each bike -Oneup seatposts on every bike -Dub cranks...

12/21/2023 12:28am Material is aluminum (AlSi10Mg), M4 bolt passes through the derailleur bolt from the back and threads in to secure it. If it seems there would be interest I'll make some available.

7/21/2023 3:09pm most DH riders don't measure sag on a DH fork because it is set up for taking hits when the rider is off the back of the bike, high-speed impacts, etc. Setting sag is 100% crucial for a rear shock, but not a fork.
