Honestly, the craziest thing about that bike is running Ardents.

Can someone refresh my memory regarding the bike?

That was a Morpheus DH bike. It was a production bike (if I remember it well) but still very proto-ish

Edit: actually very very a proto, the production DH bike got in the market later and was quite a different concept.

I don’t know how I rode this thing…

2011 GT Alloy Fury Proto. 1 of 5 made, 3 went to destructive testing, 1 to paint and design and I somehow ended up with the 5th one. It was supposed to go to Marc Beaumont but he declined it due to weight (maybe a little ugliness too). SN read (MD-05)

I remember talking to one of the guys from Morpheus. He said they wasted a ridiculous amount of money on that bike only to abandon that design
