What’s up nerds! Long time listener, haven’t posted in a while so I fired up the login again. Fun story about Ben Fergs! Homie rolled into the bike shop I worked at in Bend Oregon with a RedBull hat on looking to get into MTB. I had no clue who he was, just thought he was one of the poser kids acting like he’s pro… haha jokes on me, one bad dude on a board! Him and a few other snowboarders would come out in the summer and ride with us, so fun hearing them yelling “OMG I ALMOST DIED!”...

4/8/2024 7:00am Heard a rumor over the weekend that Shimano will be upping their EP801 motor via a firmware update in the near future to help compete with Brose (680wh) and the Dyname (700wh) motors. This power game is gonna get interesting fast.

4/8/2024 5:52am I don’t know how I rode this thing… 2011 GT Alloy Fury Proto. 1 of 5 made, 3 went to destructive testing, 1 to paint and design and I somehow ended up with the 5th one. It was supposed to go to Marc Beaumont but he declined it due to weight (maybe a little ugliness too). SN read (MD-05)

Amazing riding GR! Love the flow and creativity! I eyed that berm gap before the whale tail a few years ago. Glad you sent it to the back side of that rock. Way bigger in person! Phantom to the shed was sick too!

Hard to tell from photos, but it's possible the group of 9 monobloc style machined cogs could be Titanium, or maybe still steel. If the 3 L cogs are aluminum, maybe they are also replaceable?

Helps with bite control, gives you a firmer feel without having to bleed the guide brakes all the time.

Also I heard from a viable source that Gwin pulled out of Maribor WC due to injury caused in practice at Mountain Creek Nationals this past weekend. Should be Interesting, wonder if any more top guys will have issues with covid tests in the future.

I ran stealth hubs on my enduro race bikes back in... 2012 or 2013. They works flawlessly, every time you would pump you’d get that little bit of pedal stroke.
