I'm honestly considering buying one to do my own little test on my uber tiny YouTube channel, just cause I'm a spaz, but for those questioning Charlie's integrity I am 1000% sure he'd call it out as being a let down if indeed it was. Is it a massive leap forward in suspension performance? I think we all know the answer to that. Same-ish damper. Same-ish air spring. Same seals (as a 36). Yes, bushings are better/overlap better/different chassis. But guys at the EWS level aren't bolting this to their bike and going oodles faster (but not slower, it appears...

I've got precious few educated things to say about USD forks, but just jumping in to say that Robot is easily the best podcaster-interviewer in the MTB world. I could listen to him talk for hours about, well, anything... including comparing axle thickness and wine tastings! :-)

That is indeed a hasty judgement! If you read the review he says it is easily better than any other Fox or Rockshox fork, and I can't remember the last time one of those brands put out a product that was legitimately head and shoulders above the previous generation. Maybe the 2014 Pike? As for price - sure its a lot, but ENVE wheels have been over $2000 USD for a long time, and which one do you think makes a bigger improvement to the bike? Avalanche charges almost $1k just for the damper alone, has been doing that for years, and there's a persistent 4+months long backlog if you want one. I don't think your observation of the "loss of plot of mountain biking" is exactly an accurate one.

more photos of the prototype zeb. from the photog - Ella Conolly, Dan Booker and Jesse Melamed were the ones to run it here on the first practice day in Canazei. There is a cover on the left bottom side, maybe some new dials….new lowers and new bridge, so looks like a brand new fork not just some upgrade. It looks like all of them run it in 170mm travel

Okay big conspiracy time. The podium fork has been made for a long time. Fox was waiting for the traditional design of their forks to plateau in innovation and sales before “being the first”. It weighs so much on purpose because their next gen of the fork (which is already made and designed) will be bigger news than the second coming of Jesus. Then after that it will be even bigger with slight updates to the damper that work for USD forks even better, and EVEN LESS WEIGHT. But if they released the fork as perfect on day 1, what...

I can't imagine landing my whip/kickouts these days on QR rear axles... sheesh. Also, Rockshox just needs to revive the Totem fork in response to Fox's USD hype. Totem with Charger 3, galvanised lower with updated OG tribal decals. KeepTorque Caps ready like all the current forks. Speaking of torque caps, I just converted my E13 front hubs with their torque cup adapters. I guess the steering feel more precise....I think. :D

Yes, I did get the 9.1 fork back from PUSH and promptly took both forks to Angel Fire for 3 days. I have lots of data and info on them and am in the process of putting it all together in a post or two. Kudos to Hope on listening to the peanut gallery with the bleed port but honestly I’m not sure I want a firmer bite or less free stroke than my T4V4s. I truly love the feel of those brakes. So much power and so much control. Only one way to find out….
