A more refined version of Mondraker's proto DH bike seen in a Fast AF* vid from Andorra today. Can't tell if they still have the modular bb set up, but does look to have changeable drop outs to change CS length. Carbon version expected later this summer Wink https://youtu.be/VJUh_1DSiIM?si=6FVF3dvJUTX3ZwW6&t=2322

I love the slow mo side-by-side comparison JKW did in that video, and I agree that on the Podium I'm testing the front brake feels instantly better than on the RSU fork it replaced. I find that I can use the front brake in more places without sliding and without harshness, and the ability to use my front brake more is a change that my rear brake pads are celebrating.

I have not watched many of the numerous Fox Podium reviews as I try to avoid the influencer type content, but came across this from JKW and it reminded me of something I noticed when first swapping from a traditional to inverted fork; the front brake seemed to work better. Same brake, same wheel, same tire, same trails; it simply felt like there was more control and braking traction available with the inverted fork. With the overbuilt crown and large upper legs required to get the desired level of torsional stiffness comes an increased fore/aft stiffness which can be felt...

The PUSH Industries Nine. One Specifications 150mm-170mm travel (10mm steps), 36mm stanchions, bushing overlap 145mm, coil sprung, 15mm floating axle, pneumatic bottom out control, weight 2960g, Chassis The 9.1 crown is large with massive overlap on the 44.5mm aluminum upper legs which are bonded in. Specialized developed a fully bonded alloy crown/stanchion system for the E160 fork around 2010 while I was a member of the engineering group. It is a great alternative to the traditional press fit assembly method for a fork CSU, and in some ways superior. The moto inspiration for the 9.1 design is apparent, the fork lugs...

A sales manager at Shimano just built up a Digit Ring and sent me some photos. It has an unusual Pro Tharsis handlebar which I've not seen any reporting on*. I gets fatter each side of the stem, and it's not round each side of the stem either. A fatter diameter normally indicates a stiffer structure which I'd normally be wary of, but I'm told the shaping makes this is as compliant as the OneUp handlebar. It does look pretty sick. Both the bar and stem have cable-tourism routing - but they don't seem to be noticeable on my cable-into-the-downtube...

Level of Future has released a website that goes into more info on their Flexstab bars: https://leveloffuture.com/ Not much info on availability for the public. I've reached out, these may save riding for me, so I'm pretty anxious to get more info on when they'll be available. They look really promising for people with wrist/hand/elbow problems.

So Sram are playing with a lighter pull setup... Even though "everyone" swears blind that the heavy pull is the bESt thINg EvAr. This U-turn is nearly as funny as the "we will never make a mineral oil brake". They would make an incredible political party with plays like this.

36lbs for a medium alloy frame with a coil shock, heavy hubs, and DH tires is actually really good.

Hey y'all something going on in these Maven levers in the pits at La Thuille. Heard from Alan Muldoon at MBR that the Canyon DH team had these same gold cams in their Mavens at Leogang. Any theories? More leverage? Less leverage? More ramp? Less ramp?

Looks like Richie is back on the new fork this weekend for La Thuille? But I think he's focusing on DH this season and not EDR, so I don't know if he'll be racing this bike this weekend.
