12/19/2023 11:55pm So now it’s tacky shoes and grippy platform pedals that are causing us injuries. Got it... I suppose these might give your bike the feeling that there’s some flex while cornering and stuff no? So many questions.

12/17/2023 11:40pm To be fair they haven't realesed the product yet, so I think its justifiable to not have any information on it. It is a growing trend in the industry though, quite a few brands are now not publishing detailed suspension data, Atherton and We are One come to mind, neither of their bikes post leverage curves, anti-squat graphs etc.

12/17/2023 4:41am Ok how is PVD still so relevant? Did I miss something back in the day when this guy was the chosen one. I mean he has cool ideas, but why do we believe him so much again.

12/11/2023 7:42am Long time lurker but first time poster. Didn’t want to comment but with that photo released the cat is probably out of the bag. That is the Atherton AL170? aluminium prototype at Dyfi. Had a good look back in the summer, was just on an uplift and got talking to one of their trail builders. He was very open about it, answering all my questions! They’ve all been testing it all summer, basically trying to destroy it by putting years worth of riding into months. It was absolutely beat up when I saw it, but he said it’s indestructible. Aluminium...

12/11/2023 7:42am Heavier yes. More expensive maybe, depends on how the lugs are made. If they can be made cheaply enough, I could imagine the final production price to be fairly similar to welded frames. As you don't need a welder, don't need to straighten the frames during heat treating, don't need to heat treat them, etc. The production process could potentially be a lot less energy intensive, at least the assembly of it (if the parts themselves are produced energy intensely). FYI, aluminium cars are bonded, not welded.
