I want to see Shimano release something developed from their 2019 internal "gearbox" patent. It had an even higher output shaft position and would make high-pivots easier to pull off without an idlers.

Proto tyre, it was recently discussed by @schwalbai in the tyre thread. Not exactly new new, it was seen a while ago already, from what I understood it might stay proto only for the time.

Looks like Fox had the latest X2 in a Nomad at Sea Otter so you can breathe a sigh of relief regarding large air can shocks fitting in the shock tunnel:

Reece got something on the dorado going on. Legs swapped + addon on the lower leg. Either just mass damper or something like Bos did years ago?

EXT Vecta EXTs more budget friendly coil shock based off the Stoira. Not brand new for 2026 (came out last year) but I like what EXT does and the craftsmanship is always incredible!

Hii. This is great! I don't know how you guys were everywhere at once! Don't want to step on anyones toes or steal anyones thunder but it seems like the coverage is starting to slow down so I thought I would jump in. Here's a couple things I cool things I saw this year that I haven't seen covered. Unreleased Wolf Tooth Hubs It does seem to use a ratchet system, doesn't appear to have any drivetrain feedback mitigation system, will be available in straight pull or j bend and offered in the common gravel and mtb standards. And in...

TBD Bikes 3D Printer DJ Pretty epic dirt jumper from TBD Bikes , created by 17-year-old Dylan Banera. Currently going to school to become a machinist with the plan to get an engineering degree afterward, Dylan has been 3D printing since he was 10. This is the second generation of his prototype dirt jumper, appropriately called the ‘Neck Twister.’ Highlights 3D printed aluminum frame with generatively designed lugs, internally latticed tubes, bonded with aero-grade epoxy Can run a chain or Gates carbon belt drive. Belt tension is still under refinement. Frame weight ~12 lb

I think that's sort of the point, the only metric anyone cares about is the motor. The essence of riding an eBike is what the motor gives you. The rest of the "bike" part takes a back seat. And no one seems to care, even though the slippery slope foreboding was waved away as an irrational fear

Just a hunch, but I doubt Santa Cruz is letting YouTubers/Instagramers test out new stuff... especially with Specialized tires. Willing to put money that's just a XO RSV Bullit with a wrap on it.
