5/4/2024 6:32pm I was under the impression that after a while most E13 hubs have a disnengaging /disintegrating ratchet system.

5/4/2024 6:32pm Ah, yeah, looks like stiffness tuning is the next area of gains for mountain bikes. Lew Buchanan posted this the other day (not sure if I didn't get it here actually, forgot where I got the link from, sorry): https://www.instagram.com/reel/C6Jfh2utF8t/

5/4/2024 6:31pm Haven't heard anything officially, but I'm curious too. Seems like it could be similar to how a free coaster works, where a mechanism disengages once spinning to allow a built-in amount of slack, but that's just a guess.

5/4/2024 5:59pm Anybody notice how short Reece Wilson's stem is this weekend? Looks like a 20mm stem or maybe shorter. I don't remember seeing anybody fast running a stem that short since Bulldog on the OG Mondraker/Cesar Rojo "Forward Geometry" program in 2012. https://www.instagram.com/p/C6cjj6KOMyU/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=e76…

4/26/2024 4:12pm DHRII as well, I'm really curious to see what Pirelli comes out with in the future. Minion/Krypotal fusion? Maybe just some hot patches instead?

4/26/2024 4:11pm Calling it now, its going to be an Intense clone (mid high pivot, faux-6 bar suspension) except for the ABP instead of a true Horst link.

4/17/2024 3:33pm The reason why you can't have UDH hangers or T-Type derailleurs on an adjustable axle system, aside from the chainstay length issue (which can be managed with adding or subtracting links) is that they both require open space behind the axle to allow the hanger or the derailleur to sweep back in the event of a strike to the derailleur. It's part of their design, and frame companies are provided with clearance models to help with that design.
