JerseyMojo Added a reply to Tire debate: Cannibal, HR3, or Radial

Why are you missing out the HillBilly? I'd say it was as versatile as the HR3 - I have one on the front of my Enduro and a friend has an HR3 - they're very comparable but the Hillbilly is much cheaper and more readily available. I've also ran Cannibals and yes they do need riding hard to get the...

Just drop it please or indeed find the coil vs air thread. No, it is not the case. And if you have an air fork, I have no idea what do you do with it because between all the air forks I've had in a decade, I haven't spent enough on air seals nor grease to purchase a SINGLE coil spring for any fork. (not here to talk about whether I actually use it hard enough or whatever) Coil isn't innovation, certainly won't make your bike slacker nor longer. Whether it's better or not, this thread should be about innovation...

Things are moving. For the initial public release, we're going all-in on grassroots racing, the "Strava-like" activity tracking pirate ship will come later. From my point of view, grassroots racing is where the gap (and my passion) is, and it's where we can deliver something genuinely better from day one. The upside: Garmin integration ships with iOS/Android/web app launch. If we see the traction we're expecting, we can build all sorts of cool activity tracking stuff, but it just doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to start with that. Happy to answer questions. Cheers

I know most of y'all don't care too much about Code series brakes but just in case anyone was wondering, SRAM states that there is no difference in the swinglink profile of the newish Stealth series Codes and the older RS/RSC models. According to the email I got back, " There are some subtle differences between a Code RSC and Code Stealth lever assembly, though these relate to geometry changes for the Stealth design/routing and won't affect the actual feel or performance of the brake".

The fascination with Dak, Gwin and BK on this forum is wild and getting so boring! The pivot team are wearing different helmets who cares they are a team and they are racing, I’m sure the way that the bike industry is going people are getting sponsors but can wrangle a deal with other companies if they want, like in most sports they play for the same teams but they don’t have to wear the same boots/shoes/goggles

well, two riders left Pivot, so maybe the focus can be put towards Maples who could possibly get a ok salary there. But yes, i wish he had got a place at Scott or Frameworks or Commencal. Find all that BK / pivot hate a bit strange btw. Dude has done a lot for dh mountainbiking since many years and the bike should be good..

As someone who was there from the very beginning (okay EWS #2), I think the story arc of EWS/EDR is a bit more complex that people think, and that Chis Ball is not the boogie man some make him out to be. EWS was not just Chis Ball, it was a run by a board, with Chis as the most public facing member of the organization. Keep in mind that in 2013 enduro racing was seen as an exciting new sport (yes I know, it wasn't new in France and Italy) and the timing was perfect with new wheel sizes...

I'd say similar story—the DHR Evo's still offer more power readily available at your finger tips.

I went from an enduro die hard fan when EWS started back in the day, to barely checking results or coverage around 2024. Some of it is personal, when EWS started out, I had met a lot of the French pros at local/regional/national races, it was easy to root for your local teenager: Nicolai, Cure, Dailly, Tordo and the legends Barel and Vouilloz. Little by little they started to retire or get hurt and not perform quite as well, these days I only recognise a handful of the names in the top 10. Hate to bring up a sour subject...

They shouldn't have tried to make it in anyway live. Check out on YT the previous race coverage from 2018/2019 - you had Ric riding the stages before hand with Chris Ball (before he sold out) doing a preview, and then a what happened last time video and finally a results video - they were a much better format for...
