I think one of the biggest (for me) would being able to quickly and easily create your own segments. I haven't thrown down the coin for the new Garmin Edge MTB, but that feature really intrigues me. The open sourced segments are better on Strava than Trailforks and Gamin but to be able to set exact and repeatable courses would be sweet, one of my local DH only tracks has a gnarly descent down to a creek but you climb back out, it's all one trail so your cumulative time for the DH and climb are what gets tracked on...

Thanks to everyone for the comments so far. Few things to note... GPS Accuracy: This is something I've battled for 2 months. I thought it was going to be a lot easier than it turns out to be. At this point, I'm within my edge 130 with respect to accuracy (maybe a touch below that). Is this good enough? I think so. Strava runs a few algorithms server side (once you upload) that are patented (ask me how I learned that haha) to smooth/clean up the data. Overall, accuracy will improve as I see adoption and can justify spending money...

One thing I would like from Vital, a sorta 'what the editors wear' article. Where most of the contributors just go over what they actually wear, both trail and gravity/park load outs. I'm sure it's happened in the past. But I am humbly and ignorantly requesting another one now. Soon. Ish.

If two people can comfortable hit it and it comes with a huge time advantage it gets to the point that the entire field has to take massive risks to be competitive. The Jr's are just that, Jr's. They are not professionals and outside of a very select few I bet most are not getting a paycheck. Closing one feature will have zero effect on the racing for the weekend...... Having to chopper a rider or two off the course during practice will have a big effect on everyones race weekend.

The problem is their ‘path’ to increased exposure seems pretty poorly planned and executed. If you really wanted more eyes on it, you would put it somewhere free (or cheap) and easy for longtime fans and then you could also put it in the sports package for the general public who have MAX to stumble upon. It’s wild too because they already have a formula that works but they’re too dumb to realize it. EWS in its heyday had lots of attention and was selling bikes like crazy.
