6/15/2026 11:27am I've had great luck with the Specialized Cannibal. I know running Specialized tires isn't everyone's cup of tea, but the slightly stiffer carcass means you can drop a psi or two and help with some of the sensation you're talking about (along with a grippy compound). They work great for the summer dirt surfing here in Colorado. Not to mention...

6/15/2026 9:21am Killer recap! Maybe I'm the odd man out, but I did not have that Belt Driven Priority on the podium on my bingo card. Mad respect to Lief for getting an atypical bike up there.

6/12/2026 8:06am Propain Updates the Spindrift with New Colors and Build Kit Naming Convention Propain makes the Spindrift for riders who need a freeride bike that can deal with anything from a pedal-powered enduro adventure to a week in the bike park. It can be built up with a single or a dual crown fork, while still taking a regular wide-range drivetrain and a dropper post if you want it to. For 2026, Propain is giving the Spindrift some fresh new colors, and an updated naming convention that is more in line with what the bike is. The Spindrift AL comes in...

4/21/2026 6:24am I got a first ride in on my 2027 Zeb on my local trails. My first impressions straight off were that it felt like it tracked the ground really well, rode higher in its travel & had more midstroke support, and was super, super quiet. I'm coming from a 2-3 year old Zeb with Charger 3.1 and a Noken, which I liked but my old fork's chassis was worn out and noisy. I started out running the recommended pressure for my weight (155 lbs + 7 lbs gear + ebike), which suggested 133 psi. Normally I prefer to manually account...

4/9/2026 4:24am People seem to joke about this, but were apparently fine with forks basically just smashing themselves in to the bottom of the lowers with next to no protection, since time immemorial.....Its like that reassuring CLANG and jarring through the hands is what they needed to know you got your monies worth!

4/7/2026 12:58pm I saw that as well. Now I feel the need to check my current 160MM Lyrik to see what it actually measures out to.

4/7/2026 7:44am Yeah I agree. I do have both forks at 160mm and can definitely whip something up once I get time on the Lyrik.

4/7/2026 7:36am This forum is for discussing anything related to the 2027 RockShox Zeb fork (B1 models). Feel free to ask questions , leave helpful tips for setup/service, or provide notes about how the fork has worked for you. RockShox has completely overhauled its Zeb fork for model year 2027. They took what they learned developing the latest Boxxer and applied many of the same technologies and tuning ideologies to their single-crown gravity fork. Everything is new with the Zeb, from the chassis to the damper and air spring, to the external adjustments. Below is a deep dive into all the changes...

4/7/2026 7:32am Really interesting to see the travel overlap between the Lyrik and Zeb at 150, 160, and 170mm. I'm curious to see some back to back comparison at the same travel options (if that's planned).

4/6/2026 12:37pm To add to what’s already been said, I think most ride feel differences between two different suspension brands on a bike would be over shadowed by maintenance intervals. In other words, servicing suspension often is going to make a bigger ride feel difference than having a different brand fork vs shock.

4/6/2026 6:23am Last year, for one of my engineering classes I did a simulation in Ansys titled “The influence of the axle diameter on the torsional stiffness in an USD bicycle fork”. It was an exercise more focused on Ansys, not on being scientific, but still the results were interesting. Here’s a link to the presentation . TLDR: 20mm was only 4% stiffer
