If Jackson or Finn don't win I really want Loris to win. The Loris win would be to really piss off the Yanks that are taking it personal that he thinks Snowshoe is shit track.

At first I was a little put off by not offering qualifying and semi points, but I suppose they did that so that if the season is close (like it is) they wouldn't be awarding a championship for a quali or semi run. That being said it would have been even more interesting if they would have put all the points on the finals run. It would have made things a bit spicier! As it stands now it looks like Loic only controls his own destiny if he finishes in 2nd or better. Loris can take it home if he...

it's their Motocross technology on their baller forks/TRAX Shocks. Think of it like Showa A kit. https://dirtbikemagazine.com/cone-valve-suspension/ saying the tech is in a DVO shock is a stretch IMO. Some imaginative word smithing.

Haha go pedal off some of your energy, get your wiggles out, calm your body and use your words champ…or actually, don’t use your words… Gotta love the ol “I’m leaving forever!” Haven’t seen that in a while, nice to see: it’s the mark of a good message board! So good. Bizutch with the self-block! Taking his mangled keyboard to the Dak Web. Loris is an all-time great and Snowshoe is flat. Byeeeeeeee self-block

On a positive note I just watched the Sleeper shredit from Snowshow and oh boy am I hyped for downhill racing! If you're not into paying Chris Ball 20 quid a year that's fine. Between Sleeper, Lawlor, Cathro, Wyn, Moimoi and Eddie you won't miss a beat. The racing this year has been the best of all time and all the best coverage is free. What a cool sport to watch and what a cool industry that supports these amazing video guys to be at the races. I'm off to watch it again.

@Biz man I think you need to chill Winston... don't let the forum work you up so much, you'll get a hernia. Having done the first six rounds and world champs, unfortunately not these last two. (my rider is there) I would say the flattest track I walked is Fort William. If the riders are not saying the Fort is flat, but Snowshoe is... means Snowshoe is flatter, or perhaps poorly designed for the terrain used, as @samwell mentioned. Best we take out your view that riders think it is not hard, no one said that. It is hard, even...

I think you should know something : Samwell is the team manager of dorval. So I think he knows a thing or two about downhill racing. And Patrice afflalet (Scott team manager) says pretty much the same thing on a french forum.

It is a flat track, and you are allowed to think that this is not what is good for the sport you are at the top of, no ? If you go extreme, why not add the sea otter to a world cup, it is still downhill in the end. Yet it is not what I or Loris think downhill should be. Some guys might even like Sea otter track, it doesn't make it a good downhill track. And this season Bruni is the fastest on all the flat sectors, so he doesn't need straight ski slopes, he needs flat...

Dear GCN+/Discovery/WB please stop the drone footage. It is not good. Use it once for a reference of the track. Stop please. It is terrible.

Ooooh I don't think the finished to market bike will honestly look anything like this. I got a Hunch they are doing what Intense did with that mega rocker bike from last year. This Current mule from specialized is just providing answers for specialized I reckon . At best the chainstay will be what sticks around as it's tuneable flex but there is just no way that linkage is gonna hang out like an old man's nuts on the final design.

I think the real reason for this is 'it's easier to use an existing fork than machine our own fixed legs'. This setup seems like it would be harder to tune and more unpredictable to ride, because you never know which spring will be compressing, and what the axle path will be doing.

With all the tire debate going on, anyone noticed Bruni running Argotal's? Can't understand why as Specialized have a similar tire that is supposed to be real good.

Any part of the suspension moving in this case would require the links to be very elastic. As the bikes sits in this picture it's probably overextended and gives a feeling of the upper two links being on the verge of the unstable point (where the rocker can rotate either up or down). In practice (as has been mentioned by others) this is not the issue. Even with the shock removed all is fine and the axle path is fully defined. This axle path definition is the reasoning I use to define the number of pivots a bike has -...
