One of the most sensational crashes (and runs tbf) I've ever seen during a WC. What this dude can do in the wet is just silly. I think Rob had some good insights during the broadcast, said the world champs jersey can mess with a lot of people but Reece is cozy as a clam in it and just seems to be coming into his own.

Hope Reece is alright. That was one of the gnarliest crashes I've ever seen in the Red Bull TV era of World Cup DH. Ranks right up there with Thirion's crash in Leogang a few years ago. Andreas Kolb dodged a bullet too. Imagine if he did a high side crash right by that wooden jump.

Downhill is a wild sport! Reece's run was something magical. Also interesting to see Isak on his DIY bike sneaking in ahead of Gwin, that will be a nice bit of satisfaction for him!

Yeah, with Rachel's gap the issue was the correct landing zone was extremely tight, basically had to land at the perfect distance. Cathro put it best in his video today on the road-gap "the landing is a bike length long", added to the fact that it is very blind and the take-off seems to point into the trees rather than the track... Longer landings would seem like a necessity, not just for the different abilities of riders, but even the difference between training speed and race speed, betting a few top riders have issues during qualies or finals from being...

Ya i agree. I find the post race slideshow much less interesting than qualies and RAW as I normally watch the race. Cant see the qualies or basically anything prior to the race so this fills an enormous gap. You guys rock though, and so do the photogs, just wanted to give you feedback

Awesome work as always Vital. But I would say (trying to be as constructive as possible): please do more "top 3 photos" and short interviews or stories from the photogs during the training/qualies ahead of the race. I love the slideshows, and clearly as this is the one format that the other site hasn't ripped you off on (yet), it must be the hardest one to pull off. But, that being said getting a huge slideshow after it is all done and dusted is a bit less interesting to me than even short little snippets of content from John, Sven...

I was concerned as well! Putting in the 8.5 setting instead of the 10"mode helped split the length difference (5mm total). Surprisingly it ride very stable!
