Would love to get a detailed weather report. Everywhere I'm looking is showing it to be pretty clear, small chance or rain, but a number of people have mentioned rain. Where are you looking?

Awesome photos and interviews. I'm with ya, Sven, stop cutting down the trees! While generally against sanitizing tracks, I'm ok with watering down the boom-boom-huck-jam gap jump. World champs was brutal last year (so brutal is took some of the fun out of it), must've been 15 people who went down there and a couple knocked out cold.

It really is the golden age of mountain bike racing. 10 years ago I'm not sure any rider could fathom multiple frames through the season just for the show of it all. Pretty cool.

8/6/2017 6:54am They're all worthy, for me it's hart's champery run, the legendary commentary adds to it and his margin of victory, age, and fact that its world champs in conditions as gnarly as anything I've ever seen (maybe with exception of lourdes this year, that was bonkers) puts it over the top. But again they're all beautes.

Seemed like such a pointless flat, literally as Claudio was saying there were no more rocks/roots to mess him up. We have got to get flats figured out in this sport; I get that "it's racing" as so many people say, but it's the worst part about it. Any rider on a good run and my anxiety goes through the roof just waiting for a flat to spoil it. Today was one of the worst in a while, and it makes the overall a lot less interesting. Greg will need a mistake to lose it, and you obviously never wish...

Major bummer. One of my favorite sections of track on the whole circuit. That said, glad they made the call early before the riders hit it and also to avoid another ft bill debacle.

I wholeheartedly disagree: drunkwarner and freecaster made racing great again. We're seeing the result of having 'a future'. Not showing anywhere near the entire field coming down the course, wasting 20 minutes explaining what a bike is instead of showing racing, and a severe lack of Warner's anecdotes from the wild west of the 90s. Don't kid yourself. No non-mountain biker is going out of their way to deliberately tune into a red bull internet broadcast and buying a 6k bike because of it. It's better when it's for the intended audience.
