If I can add my 2 cents here. I don't think Sram paid Jack, or the team, anything. That whole YT deal is that they run whatever they want because they don't take money from any sponsors. Now I think that was changing because the industry is struggling and they probably saw how much money they were losing out on. My best guess is YT asked Sram to pay to support the team and they said no, so YT doubled down on the TRP/Fox association they had already been building. Okay the width thing. Never understood why rim widths past 27mm are advertised as good or better? They just feel like they have my resistance when climbing with no added benefit of actual grip. Like Im puzzled that companies like DT push the idea of needing a 30mm+ wide rim/wheel when their pro racers are running EX471s which I think is 25mm if Im not mistaken. Is it a durability warranty work around?

If they would add hydraulic bottom out or something similar I’d consider running a dhx2, after experiencing that on ext and rockshox I won’t ride a coil without it.

I find the last sentence pretty interesting. I had that moment when I first rode my '15 Boxxer after some tinkering inside, mostly on the air side. Suddenly I was feeling a lot of harshness from the TTX22m in the back, because the fork just erased the terrain in a way I haven't felt before. Might sound controversial but I now have Boxxers and SDLXA on both my DH and trail bikes, and with a little shimjob I find them more plush - likely because my riding style suits very progressive suspension and I shove 'em all full of tokens...

I have absolutely no affiliation with Vorsprung, but I thought I might mention here that anyone in the US considering buying one might want to move fast (before questionable tariff policy means they cost 25% more for no reason). I really hope that Vorsprung financials are strong and they can weather a probable nosedive in US-based demand. Such a cool product.

Something I missed earlier, but I saw it was discussed on the german mtb-news forum. The pedals on Cornelius bike, look awfully similar to the pedals Outlier mtb sells. Just without the visible "axle" and in intends color scheme. So, probably another product they're working on. Nice to see them branch out and make more products. Looks similar in design

How does a stem have a fork travel restriction/rating? How is it eMTB ready? Genuinely curious.

Thanks folks, some good info. It looks like Vorsprung did the same as @Dave_Camp as the stroke (without bumper) on the Telum measures over 65mm. Both Bomber CRs and the DHX measure under 65mm, I'll include this data as well. Bottom out bumpers play a significant role, and it will be interesting to see the differences between all of them as there is quite a bit of variance in total height and durometer between the test shocks. I have seen some bottom out bumpers that do very little, such as what Fox puts in the newer Float and Float X...

I designed that out of Super Deluxe Coil- we measured 'solid' height of bumpers (I think at our test lab max of 5,000 lbf) and designed stroke length around that. So a RS SDLXC 65 stroke should actually get close to 65mm stroke if you smash it hard enough. Remove the bumper and measure the shaft- should be maybe 1-2mm longer than the stroke length. Edit- also agree with Darren about data... I'd probably do the test blind and look at data after ranking everything. Then maybe see if you can make improvements based on data comparison?

A couple of notes on this one. 1. Coil shock strokes are defined with the bottoming bumper removed. So a 65mm stroke shock can only achieve a maximum of 60-62mm due to the solid height of the bumper. 2, On-board data acquisition is not able to explain why one shock is better performing than another as it's only capable of telling you "what" not "why". A good use of the data is defining what suspension velocities you should use for your dyno tests via tools such as histogram data. Darren
