Interesting. A gearbox makes more sense in terms of justifying a total redesign of the bike. Because there's a lot more that's different in the bb/linkage/shock area. The lower shock bolt alone is at least 3-4" higher. If there is a gearbox under there, that doesn't leave a lot of space for the old 6-bar design so there would probably...

I’ve heard there are two chains from a reputable source. But a gearbox makes sense too. Time will tell Smile

Bikes peaked at the 2014 Devinci Wilson, I've been chasing rear suspension that can compare for the last 10 years lol.

Almost looks like they're going to sell an entire rear end to convert an existing frame to high pivot(?) Looks like a green carbon frame + Cascade high pivot rear end.

Honestly with Whiteface on the calendar this season (and for a few more to come likely) we just need one more race here in the US to put DH on the map in North America (mainly because we have US Open too. A lot of people say west coast, but I think we need a Colorado race, some of the best ever US DH tracks have been in CO! With Vermette, Blevins, Amos, Batten etc... all from CO and the Durango bid for 2030 Worlds we need that WC ASAP

If the niche for 32" wheels is people over 6'6" tall, it's hard to make a business case for making them. If the niche for 26" wheels is people under 5'6" tall, that's much easier to justify because not only are there grown adults under 5'6" tall, every adult who is over 5'6", was at some time under 5'6".

I've made POV comparisons for top 4 riders, you could check it out on https://ridetop.app Seems like Asa had worst start(first minute) among top4 and not only because of mistake Jackson had worst finish among top 4 Jackson vs Asa: https://ridetop.app/compare_vs/?ids=929103534,646124841

Here's a Slayer prototype frame built in 2018 IIRC. I have another example of an earlier prototype built with a chip that allowed a low or mid-height main pivot. I'll have to fire up my external drive (cough I'm old..) to get a photo.

I don't think it's stupid, I have to run my levers really far inboard with a large gap between the clamp and grip, I'd love a shortened lever, but they can't really be beat anyway on power and light lever feel, except for maybe Hayes.

Looks kinda like it, keen to see what it ends up being! They're also custom shorter levers by the looks of things, as the default ones don't have that kink in them.
