4/6/2025 9:21am Where does RST keep coming out of? They seem to pop up every 7-8 years trying to break into into the high end market again. Are they bigger in Asia or are they a manufacturer for other brands and keep taking swings with their own line?

4/5/2025 3:54pm What does it mean to be the drivetrain and electric drive unit components provider for UCI MTB events? Is that like neutral support for athletes? Or does that mean everyone in the E-EWS has to use a Shimano motor and parts? Or does that mean when someone like Josh Carlson does a track preview they're on a Shimano-equiped bike?

4/3/2025 5:23pm Vanderham news prompted me to head over to the Transition site and check on the TR11. Sure enough, "Full refresh coming this May".

4/3/2025 1:48pm Why would you trade a 200 OneUp for a 175 mm Reverb? It makes no sense to me that losing 2.5 cm of drop, having a battery I can hit my knees on, and spending $$$ is worth getting rid of a cable.

4/1/2025 2:18pm Party Foul. Some will blame the taping crew for not blocking off spectators. I blame everyone standing here. STAY OUT OF THE APEX of turns. You block sight lines & in this case, you literally block the line & put racers in danger. And no, it's not an oopsie. I've had my bar ripped out my hand by dip wads leaning into the track. Can you imagine Gwin's season or career ending in this turn?

4/1/2025 2:08pm Technically I don't get paid by SRAM either. They support the Canyon factory team that I am a part of, who pays me. That isn't to say they don't support me, but I don't have a contract with them. Factory teams are generally bolstered by sponsorship deals to increase the budget they have. YT went the route of 'uncaged' which meant they were fitting the whole bill and allowing their riders to run whatever they wanted, not taking any sponsorship money so the riders weren't forced into anything. Or so I understand it. So Jack would still get paid as...

4/1/2025 6:41am I don't doubt that, the 11.6 is one of the most expensive shocks on the market. And we're both just providing single anecdotal evidence of our own experiences, on one bike. But I'd wager you wouldn't be upset if the 11.6 had HBO and it's a wonderful feature on more affordable and non-custom tuned shocks. I'm with you though on...

3/31/2025 3:58pm Now that I've had it, I wouldn't want to go back. It's been a luxury to run a 50lb lighter spring while also virtually eliminating bottom outs and end of travel harshness. Went from a DHX at 400lbs to a SDLX at 350 fwiw.

3/31/2025 3:50pm Anyone else feel like no HBO is a huge miss? After spending some time on it, it’s basically a mandatory feature for me now.

3/31/2025 3:47pm HBO is a nice "safety" feature - you can make a good shock without it so I'm not sure if its a deal breaker but I would definitely prefer HBO than externally adjustable High speed rebound.

3/31/2025 3:47pm Keeps you from breaking frames from repeated bottoming. If I was an OEM I'd be interested in HBO to cut down on warranties, particularly on aluminum frames with lifetime warranty.

3/27/2025 8:08pm I was looking at the new 2026 Santa Cruz Eagle 70 & 90 builds released today and saw these black Mavens on the spec list, they're the new base version of the Mavens. This new version has a DirectLink lever instead of the SwingLink we all love, does anyone know if the lever feel was updated or if that mushy Code R feeling is back ? The new Motives are also DirectLink only which is surprising.
