Technically I don't get paid by SRAM either. They support the Canyon factory team that I am a part of, who pays me. That isn't to say they don't support me, but I don't have a contract with them. Factory teams are generally bolstered by sponsorship deals to increase the budget they have. YT went the route of 'uncaged' which meant they were fitting the whole bill and allowing their riders to run whatever they wanted, not taking any sponsorship money so the riders weren't forced into anything. Anyone else feel like no HBO is a huge miss? After spending some time on it, it’s basically a mandatory feature for me now.

HBO is a nice "safety" feature - you can make a good shock without it so I'm not sure if its a deal breaker but I would definitely prefer HBO than externally adjustable High speed rebound.

Keeps you from breaking frames from repeated bottoming. If I was an OEM I'd be interested in HBO to cut down on warranties, particularly on aluminum frames with lifetime warranty.

I was looking at the new 2026 Santa Cruz Eagle 70 & 90 builds released today and saw these black Mavens on the spec list, they're the new base version of the Mavens. This new version has a DirectLink lever instead of the SwingLink we all love, does anyone know if the lever feel was updated or if that mushy Code R feeling is back ? The new Motives are also DirectLink only which is surprising.
