On site we got no live stream of Q2 unlike the past two races, just one shot of the finish jump so maybe sadly it won't be put out this week. Be nice if we knew though.

6/6/2025 10:54am I'm not seeing the Q2 replay up there yet. Hopefully they put it up. I had a quick look and the Q2 replays from both Poland and Leogang are by far the most watched vids on their channel from racing so far this year.

In short: A space for you to share brands that produce bikes, gear, components, nutritionals, etc, etc in an environmentally sustainable fashion. Brands that focus on producing their goods with minimal ecological footprint, ethical manufacturing practices, smart packaging, recyclable/repairable goods, or local-to-you manufacturing. Brands that you admire, that 'do it right', and go above and beyond. Would love for this to be a resource for mountain bikers (and brands) to reference. Also listening to Moving the Needle podcast with Brendan Fairclough he was talking about having helped dig a new DH world cup track. Any ideas as to which of the many Europe locations that'll be?

Which was fair enough as it was simply based on Brook liking a bunch of their instagram posts. Even I thought that was a bit tenuous. My issue with the sale of the promotion of the series is who they sold it to and the horrible foresight. Literally a google search would have told UCI that Warner Bros/Discovery has tanked every single sport they've chosen to purchase broadcast rights to. It should have been two separate products. One would be the organization/manpower/staffing/promotion company. The second being the broadcast company. NFL controls the product & players. They sell various broadcast rights to NBC, ABC, FOX, Amazon, ESPN. Breeds competition for the broadcast of events. The venues maintain ticket sales & a percent of the revenue of the...

I am not getting this hate, especially from us, who are obviously outside the racing field. It is impossible to judge what a good bike is and what not and especially what a good bike COULD be. How could we, with pretty much no inside knowledge, know that? Just by sheer assumption? Assumptions without solid information are most of the times logical errors. Having success takes a whole lot of ingredients, especially in something like DH racing. I guess sometimes being in the zone and fully motivated could mean more than having a ”good” bike, whatever that may be. Related...

I fix Peter Sagan's MTB when he's in Utah - very nice chap. He had a Discovery film crew with him this summer, filming for a documentary about the 2024 Paris Olympics. Sagan name dropped Minnaar to me on camera. He said that Gregg told him "harder was faster". So we pumped his fork up to the max. (#Namedropinception).
