Looks like Universal Cycles already has the new Rockshox shocks up on their website with some details, no photos though, even though we've all seen them in the wild. When was release date supposed to be?

The triangle shaped lines towards the end of the stroke on the air shock, could those be there to dial in the hydraulic bottom out control dial?

Any one have an idea of when rockshox will be releasing this new suspension to the public? Eager to get my hands on one of these new shocks!

Curious to know what Sven's film setup was back in the day. Camera, preferred film stock, etc - I know he touched on this on episode 1, but would love to know more.

I wonder if they're testing a similar idler position to what the Scott team did back in the day, right at the main pivot. That should help isolate chain forces from the suspension, right?

Upon zooming in on the original photo, the rear shock looks a heck of a lot different than the current Super Deluxe. Maybe a new shock in the works from Rockshox? 'Bout time they updated the Super Deluxe to keep up with Fox.

Added a comment about feature Vital MTB Test Sessions: Four Exciting Electric Mountain Bikes Reviewed Head-to-Head 8/9/2020 12:43 PM

You guys killed it with this test! I also really enjoyed the Inside Line leading up to this - thought it was one of the best Inside lines yet. A lot of riders these days (me included) have one bike as their do-it-all bike, do you guys think that an e-bike (particularly the Levo SL) could replace that one bike as their do it all trail bike? Or would having an e-bike always be a secondary bike to your analog bike? For riders who spends most their time earning their turns, having a 'one bike fits all' bike like the SL (maybe with some modifications) seems like it would make a lot sense...

Are we going to see your progressive springs in heavier weights?

Added a comment about video Noisy Bikes, Small Bikes - Vital RAW - 2010 World Cup DH 4/27/2020 11:11 AM

ah the good ol' days.

Brendog and blenki were some of the loosest riders on the circuit. Ben Reid would win practice. Blackbox program in full force. Rider's kits looked more like pajamas than race kits. Those mudguards haha (how didn't with think of fenders before) Carbon frames were just starting to be introduced into WC racing (I was a skeptic). Peaty was on the hunt. Freecaster. Everyone as a whole was looser on a bike and made those tracks seem extra gnarly. Crazy how far we've come in a decade....

Can we get another one of these but even earlier on? When did Vital RAW become a thing? Also Spomer, can we get a compilation of all the super slow-mo vids? Loved those!

They should have an "unlimited" (skunkworks/black box) class from manufactures. You know to show people the potential of these machines, good or bad. This may sway the view of how people see them in the present or future and what direction the industry goes....more

Really well done Transition! Think this is a huge step forward for the brand and I'm excited to see other bikes in their line up get a similar treatment. Also love the versatility they're giving the bike with the ability to long stroke the rear shock, for heavier riders, that means a lower leverage ratio and less PSI/damping in your shock, that's rad shit. I'm with vital on this one though, seeing size dependent chainstay length would be the icing on the cake for this bike. Regardless, can't wait to try one of these out on my home trails.

Think that's a typo Spomer. The Atlas bar they tested is a 35mm bar if I'm not mistaken. Either way, love this show, keep it coming guys!

Not to distract from the core of the conversation here, but this is something I wanted to bring up. One thing that really surprised me while recently working in a bike shop for a brief bit, is how much waste comes with packaging. It's interesting/shocking ... more »
