I thought that this is already public knowledge that Ryan Pinkerton, Dakota Norton and Ronan Dunne are on Mondraker, but today I have heard that Ronan was spotted on a Unno bike in South Africa. 🤔 There were also rumors that Angel Suarez is going to Mondraker, but that he didn't like the bike.

I really hope that Dak and Pinky aren't going to Mondraker. No one has really seemed to kill it on their bikes in a while. I'm hoping that the MS Intense rumors are true for Dak. In his Downtime Podcast appearance, he kept talking about "consistency" being key to his success. If you listen closely, he's not talking about his own consistency (although that's part of it), but having consistency in bike and setup being necessary for his success. He also talked about being in a really solid, comfortable place moving into next season. That would indicate, to me, that he might still be on an Intense next year.

It’s noticeable right? Many high profile riders on the MS Mondraker team have not bean able to perform as good after making the move. To me it was especially apparent with David Trummer (though he has been injured for a while too)

Did anyone listen to the Brook Macdonald podcast from MSA on the "Mauve Moped" site?  He made a reference in there to not getting along with his bike.  I was doing like 10 things at once (freekin adhd) while listening to it, so maybe my listening comprehension boned it.  But it seemed like he was talking about the new/current ms mondraker bike he's been on this year.  Anyone know if I'm mistaken about that?  During the season it seemed like he was fairly happy with the bike in interviews, maybe that was just rose colored glasses of getting off of the GT?

1. Well known in the pits that Brook did not get along with the bike this year.
2. MS KTM

3. Still don't think I've seen anyone guess where I heard Dak was headed (correction, people wished he'd head there. No one's stated he is going there.)

Laurie Greenland was pretty successful there. Probably it was easier for him to get away with certain problems the bike obviously had. I have heard from a former mechanic that there is a massive problem with the kinematics, which are hard to adjust, with what was given.

the previous bike when Laurie and Brook were on fire (pre-MSA catastrophe).. later iterations are the issue

Dak to Trek?
Trek likely has a lot of money free'd up for 2024
1. Vali off payroll -- although I'm not sure if SRAM or Trek was paying the majority of that bill
2. Reece likely not back for 2024
3. Rumor Loris is leaving
4. Kade maybe taking a pay cut to just be a freerider and not race anymore. Even if they don't cut his paycheck, they'll be saving probably $30-40k/yr in expenses with him not traveling to world cups, etc.

Dak to Trek! American riders seem to do good on those bikes for some reason (Gwin, Neko, Harrison, etc)

More like Reece and Loris still on Trek and Kade banking more dollars than before because he goes freeride?

Even though Dak is our current US star with stock rising fast, I don't think Trek would sign an athlete as old as Dak, just my 2 cents

Not necessarily a rumour, but ripped some dh laps with lachie stevens mcnab in Rotorua today and that man is certainly not hanging about after the setbacks he had earlier in the year. Hoping if the union changes frame sponsors that he’ll get along with the new frame, he’s definitely a promising rider just had some setbacks

Brook MacDonald to Forbidden?

He seems to have been liking a bunch of their instagram posts.  Could be cool to see him and Fearon both on their downhill team.

Ah. So Danny Hart and Nukeproof team to GT frames?

This is doing the rounds at the moment. Continental NP becoming Continental riding GT frames.

With the addition of Danny Hart, as he hasn’t got any other offers on the table.
