Sam Hill = Total Legend However, in recent years he's looked fit enough to be winning XC races. That's obviously not his focus at the momment. I'm sure he'll do what needs to be done if he decideds to continue his racing career.

Austin has/does coach a number of top XC riders, so an 'easy' option in that Kate isn't taking a big risk. Changing coaches is always a step into the unknown, so going with someone who coaches others at a top level is an easier call than going with someone who doesn't.
Will be interesting to see how she goes in 2024 after this change. Some riders need that coach change as they plateau and a reset helps.
