you don‘t seem to get it! it‘s not that no one is giving solid info, would love to have puzzles to figure out like the years prior. it‘s the repeating „i know more than you but not gonna tell, lalala…“ from ghost that‘s annoying a lot of people in here. if you scroll back at least a couple pages you‘ll see that people are still speculating and no one‘s crying that he want‘s it all now! but hey, some people these days can‘t even read a couple of pages

I'll play armchair QB for a second... Shaun Palmer once said there isn't a drug on the planet that compares to winning. As a total loser of a mountain bike racer (lol) I don't personally know, but imagine he's right. We see this behavior, chasing victory past your prime, most often in combat sports where a top tier fighter is reluctant to retire, even though its very clear his best days are behind him. My brother was an extra in Good Morning Vietnam when they were filming in Bangkok. He said Robin Williams was really friendly, approachable and outgoing. A couple of months earlier we both got work as extras in a mini series being filmed in India, starring Kirk Douglas. Friendly, approachable and outgoing? Not so much. I like it for recording my miles and elevation. I like to compare my activities from past years and be able to reflect on my fitness level, plus it acts as an "odometer" for my bicycle. I could not care any less about the social aspect of the app - don't need followers. I'm going to go turn off my aggregate data right now.

Was talking about it with a couple buddies while riding recently. Was a pretty fun conversation. For one it was a pretty big motivator for personal improvement on the bike. The other seemed to really hate it for a variety of reasons. Personally I rarely take the cycling computer with me. Usually just for riding places I don’t often go to (partly for navigation and partly for just logging rides at different locations). And sometimes to create segments on recently finished trailwork. my likes great tool for finding places to ride or asking friends about places they have ridden. good...
