12/16/2024 12:22pm Top comment from the other site pretty well sums up my thoughts on everything (exclusive of the last sentence, I’ll probably still watch because I’m an absolute mug)… ‘WBD keeps saying these changes are good for the sport, but I’ve never been less excited for a new season of World Cup. I have no plans to watch.’

12/16/2024 12:22pm Long live The Union. A fraction of the budget and a bigger stack of results than so many high-dollar teams out there. Their absence tells the story of things to come.

12/6/2024 9:33am For me I think this is a great idea. It is just a 4mm to get the seatpost out, connect to a usbc or something you have anyway... And it would make sure the post never sticks or get gunky. I am waiting for the bikeyoke one because I have 3 bikes that I use that uses a dropper, and I share them with my wife who is shorter than me. Getting one post with a favorite seat each. Even if it was just me I would rather have one and move it around than 3.

12/5/2024 6:42pm surely i cant be the only one who hates the fox neo dropper design, ie the system being at the mid cap assembly, it looks so out of place and odd. We buy all these nice clean looking bikes then a huge bulge 3/4 up a seat tube lol. I've been wanting a wireless dropper but not when they look like that lmao

12/5/2024 6:41pm Looks like a Stumpy 15, and based on the Red Bull helmet, dirt, and flora I’m guessing it’s Curtis Keene the American Dream riding somewhere near me in LA

11/28/2024 8:28pm The difference between the 2 is that Red Bull's events are private events, organised, produced & broadcast by them. They can invite whoever they want, no one can argue otherwise. WBD are organising World Cups on behalf of the UCI, the world governing body for competitive cycling events. They should be completely neutral & the only way to be free from bias/influence is to go off points for all teams. Personal opinion... I don't agree with handing control of the highest level of a sport to a TV production company to shape it how they want. I think I might've...

11/26/2024 7:27am that's actually my only issue with it. Having seen some pretty gnarly foot injuries over the years I don't think the potential extra grip from the extra concavity is worth the lack of protection. Even a normal pedal strike seems like it could potentially be abnormally jarring. Maybe both ideas really work well in tandem and testing has proved my worries aren't an issue. But i'd be more interested in this pedal if it had the offset and a more regular and proven pedal body design. But it's still a really cool idea in a world of a million very...

11/25/2024 5:04pm I would see it like this: The pendulum flat pedal plattform is approximately 12mm lower than your normal/most flat pedals with an axle going through the whole pedal body. and since the axle is most of the time somewhere around 6-8mm in diameter, on top of which there is still some aluminium body above it, its lower. Not 12mm under the center of the pedal axle but 12mm under normal flat pedal plattform.

11/9/2024 9:38pm I think we all know universal tariffs will be universally bad, but the really interesting aspect is how America's truly believe their economy is in bad shape, when in reality is the envy of the told and by far the most successful over the last few years. If the tariffs come in hard and fast I definitely think it will push some companies over the edge, the bike companies are very precariously perched right now. Having to pay 10% extra on all Shimano/SRAM parts for OEM builds will be a massive burden, when we know the market will not tolerate...

AG Pennypacker Liked a comment about Feature REVIEW - GasGas MXC 5 e-MTB
11/3/2024 6:33am Interesting the reviewer felt the plastics were "silly" and doubled down on only a 5-year old thought they were "cool". This especially when OEM's put rubber bumpers of all kinds all over their bikes which are, for the most part, not easily replaceable. The plastic pieces can be replaced/re-freshened in seconds w/o surface prep, residue removal, etc. And they add a degree of impact protection that no clear stick-on protector kit can. Personally, I think it's one of the better features of the bike. Especially if, as someone who works on bikes, it would allow for cables and hoses to...

10/20/2024 2:16pm So on Gwin's stories he is at what I understand is Whiteface. Looking at one of the pictures he is near the White face quad. Using the Whiteface Quad alone would not give the elevation for a WC track (approx 400m vert) They would need to use the next quad (Summit Quad) to gain more elevation (up to 965m vert) or go the other way & use the Gondola to the Little Whiteface Peak give them approx 713m Vert for the track. I've never been there or know the terrain, but it seems the vert is there, and the Pics...
