I think it's officially being released tomorrow, but it looks like Knolly posted a video for the new Delirium early. I've heard it's going to be a pretty limited release, though (only 100 frames).

Just drank some coffee so I'll play (ha). 1) On an academic level, someone who has a strong understanding of physics and mechanical engineering can chime in regarding how forces are distributed through the chassis into the ground via rider feedback. I'm not super interested in this, only because I already know the "levers" I can pull on the change this for the better (or worse) via frame geometry. The big takeaway here we all know to be true is riding through your hands is hard, riding through your legs is much easier. This hypothesis underlies this entire thread. 2)...

Looks like some shops already have all the information on what's coming for these new gen SC bikes. New shock tunnel design, front shock mount sitting in the frame, integrated head tube badge and wireless only.

gonna catch some downvotes for this but man Santa was already making the most boring bikes for "rad dads" out there in either various shades of vomit or colorways trying too hard to appeal to the cool kids (watermelon nomad lol), going wireless only is making them even less appealing to me. yeah free bearings etc and the build quality is good from what I've seen, but they lost all their coolness factor at the latest when Roskopp left, now it's just a lifeless husk for PON to milk the bikers who want to overcompensate by means of the name...

sorry for off-topic, but I want to discuss forks, specifically if my 170mm travel Lyrik is too long and if I'd benefit from a burlier fork for that travel bracket. Anyone know what forum would be best (that isn't dead)?

A bit after the 7 minute mark stuff on the new status starts, 170 coil rear + 200mm boxxer version shorter travel (140?) 27.5/26 version Stumpys mudguard has turned up, downtube protector, not sure what all the stuff is down the non driveside. External routing points? Also saw this over on instagram, colourway matches that website that is listing the old spec for the 24 170 version

I know we are all supposed to be impressed with the new Stumpy, but man the new Status is a much better looker. Simple and clean. One of the best looking bikes I've seen in a while.

The Ripley of yesteryear is officially dead. No longer a light XC bike that could shred trails with 120mm. Now a 130mm bike that's pretty heavy and is actually the exact same frame as the Ripmo (just different clevis and shock between the two frames). This plus weird geo changes... Ibis trying to stay afloat/be profitable by selling two bikes with the same frame--just swapping a part and shock.

WTF did they do to the Ripley? How much does a complete bike weigh? A size extra medium Ripley 5 frame with a Float shock weighs 7.3lbs / 3.3 kg. Our complete builds (size extra medium) begin at 29.43 lbs (13.3 kg) with all frame protection installed and sealant in the tires. https://www.ibiscycles.com/bikes/ripley#section-bike-specs

Did y'all notice the BB height changes dramatically between sizes, from 338 to 350mm? I don't think I've ever seen that on a geo chart. Meanwhile the chainstay length only changes 5mm from smallest to biggest. Kinda odd.

Watching all of the extra content from the weekend and man.... I dont want to be that guy but what does a chainsaw bring to a race other this an earache? I'd so much rather hear the crowd or the cowbells or the vuvuzelas. Downhill needs to stay wild but I guess I draw the line a gasoline powered noise making.
